Mars Hydro TS 1000 Review

The Mars Hydro TS series really is a game changer. They deliver performance that until recently was only available on models that cost 4-5 times as much. The TS series are Quantum Board style fixtures which use Epistar 3030 chips. The photon and cost efficiency of these lights forced us to reconsider everything about how we recommend grow lights. We no longer recommend HID lights to new growers because of these Mars TS series LEDs. They are an excellent value for money, and they are our top recommendation for most growers.

The Mars Hydro TS1000 is a dimmable full spectrum LED Grow Light with a simple design and minimal components. The Quantum Board style helps to distribute the light evenly across the coverage area. As you can see in the PAR map, all regions in the coverage area receive optimal photon densities. The cost-efficient design offers growers an incredible light at an amazing price.

We recommend the TS 1000 to cover a 2’ x 2’ area. In a standard 4’ x 4’ grow tent you could run up to 4 of these lights. One of the advantages is that you can start with one or two and add additional lights when your budget permits. If you are looking for a larger fixture, there are other options in this product line. We recommend the TSL 2000 for 4’ x 2’ coverage, and the TSW 2000 for 3’ x 3’ coverage. See our recommended fixtures in our Equipment and Product Guide.
