The trim tray also features a removable screen, which can be replaced if damaged, rather than replacing the entire tray. Best of all, the Mogobe trim tray comes with a plethora of trimming tools and accessories to make your next harvest a breeze! The First SAFC Picture Challenge

Congratulations, Nochmonster, Winner of the First SAFC Picture Challenge!

The First Picture Challenge of the SAFC has officially come to a close! Congratulations to our winner, @Nochmonster!

Nochmonster submitted Photo #3 (right), which received 10 out of the 35 total votes, making their picture our challenge winner! The picture was a great shot of one of Nochmonster’s SAFC plants. The strain is Blueberry Muffin Bubba x Ethos Cookies bred by Ethos Genetics. Nochmonster decided to put a fence around the plant in order to do some easy LST, using the wire to support the plant’s branches. This is a great photo that also shows off a unique approach to training. Nicely done, Nochmonster!

As their prize, Nochmonster will receive a brand-new Mogobe MB-150! The Mogobe MB-150 is a 150W full spectrum LED grow light designed for 2’ x 2’ or 2’ x 3’ coverage. It uses a MeanWell driver and 528 diodes, consisting of 3000K warm white, 5000K white, and 660nm deep red diodes, to create the ideal spectrum for growing cannabis. The fixture also gets great efficiency, comes with a 4-year warranty, and comes with Mogobe’s patented easy-installation hooks and protective footpads.

Make sure to stop by Nochmonster’s SAFC journal to offer your congratulations! You can check back again to see them growing under their new Mogobe MB-150!

SAFC First Picture Challenge Photos Revealed!

We would like to congratulate all of the photos that made it into the final voting selection! We received some great submissions for this challenge, and it was difficult to narrow them down to just our top six choices. We felt that every photo that made it into the voting was well taken and did a great job of embodying our “Training Autos” challenge theme. See below to find out who submitted each of the six photos!

Photo #1

Submitted by: @Hytymz63

About this photo: This is a photo of Hytymz63’s Blueberry Auto bred by Nukehead Seed. This picture was taken on day 39. The plant sure looks great tied down! We liked this photo because of its stark color contrasts as well as its neat, geometrical training pattern. You can tell that a lot of time, effort, and care were put into this plant. Awesome job!

Photo #2

Submitted by: @HPD

About this photo: The strain of the plant in this photo is Gorilla Punch Auto. This photo was taken after HPD did some suppercropping on the two tops of plant. HPD reports that the plant had a bad initial reaction to this high-stress training, but now, she continues to grow normally. We liked this photo because of its composition and interesting subject matter. Nicely done!

Photo #3 (Winner!)

Submitted by: @Nochmonster

About this photo: This is the photo that won our First SAFC Picture Challenge! The strain is Blueberry Muffin Bubba x Ethos Cookies from Ethos Genetics. This picture was taken about 5 weeks into flower. Nochmonster put a wire fence around the plant when they flipped it in order to make training easier. This photo did a great job of highlighting both the plant and the unique training method. Great job!

Photo #4

Submitted by: @Spacementgrown

About this photo: According to Spacementgrown, this photo shows their entire training style all in 1 shot! Spacementgrown starts with stakes, and then they will tie down and/or use clips to bend the plant into place. The strain here is Gorilla Zskittles by 420FastBuds. Spacementgrown is happy with this strain because of its great inter-nodal spacing and flexibility, making it perfect for training. Very cool!

Photo #5

Submitted by: @Big-Buds-Garden

About this photo: The strain of the plant in this photo is called DeeLite. Big Bud Garden’s caption for this photo is “Just Say NO to topping!” Big Bud Garden’s tied the apical and side branches down to allow the bottom branches to catch up to the top. They ended up with a nice bush and some whimsical-looking stems! Very fun!

Photo #6

Submitted by: @Shonuff

About this photo: The strain of this beautiful plant is Pineapple Punch. Shonuff’s goal with this girl was low stress training (using garden wire) and very minimal defoliation. According to Shonuff, their efforts have paid off tremendously! During their last grow from this same seed pack, Shonuff harvested 1 pound from two plants using these same training technique. Wow, that’s awesome!
