Hello all, new member here. Going to have some fun and participate in the New Year's Grow Challenge (heard about it from GrowCast).
I put 4 Sunshine Daydream seeds in a cup of water on Dec 31. They've all sprouted open and have been planted in Solo cups.
Some grow info:
Sunshine Daydream is essentially a mashup between Bubba Kush, Blueberry, Chemdog, and Skunk. Bodhi calls it a "nervous system harmonizer". Excited to find out what that means lol. The lineage is Bubbashine* x Appalachia**

**Green Crack (Skunk #1 x ?) x Tres Dawg (Chem D x Chem D x Chem D x Afghani)
Soil - homemade TLO style super soil mix
Veg - 2x4 tent with 2 HLG100s (1 4000k, 1 3500k) 18/6. My tent is in my home office and I keep it open at all times for maximum air flow. I have low humidity in the winter due to heater running a lot and arid Colorado climate, but it works for me (maybe some slower growth). Temps are around 82 day, 72 night.
Flower - utility room with 630W CMH 11/13. Similar humidity, slightly lower temps.
I'll be giving these plants carbon filtered water (to remove chloramines), Recharge, Fish Sh!t, Great White myco, Roots Organics Surge in veg, Terp Tea in flower, Epsom salt for mag. And maybe I'll find something else cool to give em in the next few months. I also spray every now and then with seaweed extract.
Update on the plants. They are all doing well and are in the process of pushing out their third set of true leaves.
One of these seedlings is lanky as hell.
Here's info from the breeder about the different phenotypes I should be seeing.
Thought this was interesting. That taller seedling is showing lightening between the veins in a pair of leaves, which I know as the telltale sign of magnesium deficiency.
Don't think I've ever seen that happen this early. Another interesting observation I noted is those two leaves feel papery thin. I gave it some Roots Organics Surge (N, P) and Epsom salt.
Plants were repotted into 1 gals this weekend. Discoloration on the stretchy plant continues but it's not getting substantially worse so I'm not too worried right now. When I repotted I didn't have any crazy tangled rootbound thing going on so I think this is just a hungrier-than-normal plant. Hoping it's a male so I can chop it with a clear conscience and not have to worry about making sure it's happy all flower long... Hard for me to chop any female in veg, just in case it's the one.
Looking like 3 females and a male. The magnesium hungry one is definitely male. I put it my flowering room with my currently flowering female plants (yeah, I'm living dangerously) but once the sacks start developing I'll kill the plant but keep a branch, stick it in a water glass in a windowsill and harvest a bit of pollen from it. I'd love to flower my males out fully but that's not in the cards right now for my current space/situation. For now I judge males solely on the offspring they produce, so it can be hit or miss. But it's easy as hell to pollinate a lower branch on each plant and have some Sunshine Daydream F2s to explore sometime in the future, or give away to family and friends to grow, or just to toss on the side of the road in early spring 😉
Here are the three (probable) ladies. I think I see pistils or calyx looking structures on all three. One I'm 100% sure, the other two I wouldn't call "confirmed" quite yet.
My little mag deficiency isn't really advancing any more. They were all topped at node 5 a week ago or so, and they're fully recovered and getting after it now.
Really looking forward to flowering these out. I'll likely immediately flip these once I harvest my current 4 plant run, which will be in about one month.
Repotted the girls into 3 gals today. Wish I could flower them but I've got a few more weeks on my current run ("Chem 91" clone, Mandela Haze, and Cement Shoes S1). I'll also repot to 7 gals before I flower. So these ladies are gonna be big. Once the transplant stress wears off I'll do some supercropping and take a couple clones off each plant.
About one week before my current flowering plants come down and these go in. They've been topped again and the middles cleaned out a bit.
Flower time. Thinned these girls up (lollipop to get rid of the larf at the bottom, and slight de-fan in the middle to ensure proper airflow) and stuck em in my flowering room. I've been doing 11/13 lately but I'm going to 12/12, mainly because it fits my schedule better and allows me to tend to the garden before and after work.

Have fed only pure water so far. May give em a little Roots Organics Terp Tea just to keep em nice a happy, they've still got 6-7 weeks to go.
Here's the clones. #1 was the first to root and has now settled into her new home nicely. #3 was second to root and is starting to perk up. #4 finally had roots a few days ago and she's still not happy quite yet...

All plants looking great. Yesterday I pollinated a couple lower branches on all four with the SSDD #2 pollen I harvested back in Feb.
