Closing in on harvest! These ladies are looking ripe and frosty, and after a evaluation with my microscope, I confirmed that to be the case. Garden of Green suggested 70 days for their blue dream, but I'm almost certain that they will be coming down at least a week before that, if not sooner.

This week I had to add my smaller humidifier back into the tent as the rH was dropping down into the high 30's, which was astounding. Thanks to my inkbird monitoring system, my climate is able to remain stable. Both of the blue dream plants are showing some tip burn as they enter the final weeks of flower, but that shouldn't be an issue as I'm going to transition them into the ripening phase soon and lower their EC down to about 450.

As I said before, trichomes on all three plants are definitely closing in on their peak. The solo cup bubba kush is already showing a good bit of amber trichomes on the top colas and the lower buds are completely cloudy. I'm beginning her flush immediately and will be chopping her down in a probably 2 or 3 days.

Both blue dream phenos have no white pistils left, buds are frosty and all cloudy on the upper colas. Lower buds are almost completely cloudy with a few slightly more transluscent ones. Seeing how far advanced these trichomes are on day 54 of flower, tomorrow I will be shifting them to their ripening nutes until they are ready to flush.

Solo cup harvested at day 57 of flower. The bubba kush received 2 days of flushing until day 56, when I flushed it in the morning and placed it into the box for 24 hours of darkness and to dry up before chop. She looked pretty unhappy when I pulled her out this morning, but she was getting the axe anyway.

I think my dry box innovation is going to work out perfectly - shout out to Buxton Hollow Farms for providing me with the perfect sized box for my little project. To make the drying space, I took the a box approximately 12" x 12" x 18", cut two intake vents at the bottom on two sides with a screen over the top as a filter. Next I tied a taught piece of 550 cord as a hanging rope down the center of the box about 3" from the top. I then cut a 6" hole to fit my AC infinity intake fan into. This fan now doubles as both an intake fan for my main tent, and an exhaust fan for my cardboard box. This allows me to maintain good air exchange in the drying box as well as discretion. The dry box is small enough that the AC infinity intake fan can maintain negative pressure and pull all of the smelly air into the main tent, where it will get exhausted through the carbon filter. Lastly I put in a small fan on the bottom of the box to push air around and taped a hygrometer to the top of the box to monitor the conditions.

This morning I cut her down, chopped all the fan leaves and saved the sugar leaves for after the dry. The current dry box environment reads at 57rH and 63F, which is about as good as I can ask for being in the small space that it is. This entire grow has been one big experiment, so I like that the drying process continues to be just as such. It was so pleasing to finally get a good look at my plants root mass after all this time trapped in the cup. Rootbound is an understatement, but she thrived in what she was given. I'll dry this plant hopefully until the end of the weekend, but I'll jar her up whenever she's ready. This was a super fun challenge and I'd call it a success. Very excited to see how she smokes! I will update next week with the final dry weight. @Dr-Coco @OCGrower76

Day 55 the plants were transitioned to their ripen nutes at an input EC of 470 until day 63 when I decided to begin the flush. The lower trichomes are ripening up still, but i'm planning on doing this flush a little longer than my previous grow, around 5 days. Friday I will plan to stop all feeding and let the plant soak up the remaining water and dry up before I chop next week.

I have a liter of Fish Shit that I'm using mostly for my next organic grow, but this product can also be used in hydroponic grows, especially during the flush phase to help break down salts. I flushed 2.5 gallons through each 3 gallon pot with 5mL of fishshit per gallon. I did this both on day 63, which lowered outflow EC to 250, and again today, which lowered the EC to 150. From now until friday I'll continue my normal fertigation schedule with plain water and no added inputs and probably one last heavy hand watering on Thursday or Friday before I leave it to dry. I'll keep a close eye on the trichomes to decide on when I stop the flush and cut to black. Excited to finish this up!

Final update on the solo cup. She yielded 12.5 grams of smokable buds and 17.5 grams of trim and larfy popcorn nugs that are going in my overall bubble hash pile for this grow. Not bad, I'll take it! There are a good number of seeds in each bud though, which is disappointing, but a good lesson to be learned. TAKE YOUR LIGHT LEAKS SERIOUSLY. I will be buying some extra felt to put around my tent to ensure no extra light can penetrate before I flower my next run. I imaging the blue dream will be similar, but on the bright side this flower hits heavy and feels great. I'll gladly deal with a few seeds.

The leaves do show some stress on their tips, but the buds are looking healthy. As for the high maintenance pheno, well she is really struggling into the final stretch here. Some of her leaves are brittle and falling apart just from me jostling the plant around, others seem pretty deficient. This plant has been difficult to keep happy at all throughout this grow, but it's really showing here at the end. Her buds are smaller but still so frosty up and down the colas so I'm not upset. I think the constant stress it was under its whole life contributes to the added resin production but that's certainly just speculation. Both plants are producing buds that just feel like absolute rocks that could break a window. I hope they maintain that density throughout a good dry period. I'm excited to see these finish up!

Chop day! I dropped the plants EC down to 150 on day 63 and flushed them until day 67 when I stopped all watering and cut the lights for 60 hours of darkness, until this morning in day 70 when I chopped them down and removed all fan and sugarless leaves. These colas filled up so nicely and I’m really excited to see how they dry up.

Trichomes on the smaller, more frosty pheno are fully cloudy and have ample trichomes throughout, even on the lower buds. Trichomes on the larger pheno are more cloudy than amber.

I chopped off 9 ounces of bud from the smaller pheno and tossed them into a freezer bag to make some live bubble hash, and hung the rest of the plants whole inside of my tent. Much of this grow may get turned into bubble hash depending on how many seeds I find in the buds, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.

I have my environment set for 45-50 rH, which I’ll raise to 50-55 after the first night just to allow a good portion of the water to be drawn out. My temperature is set to 60F. I’ll dry these buds throughout the week and germinate my next run next weekend! Really excited to start up my organic run, so stay tuned for that.

I will update later this week with a final dry weight (minute the 9oz of wet bud I’m leaving for bubble hash)

Final updates on the harvest. After a 7 day long dry at 60/60, the plants were ready to be bucked, trimmed and jarred up for curing. The hygrometers are currently sitting at around 50rH, which really surprises me because the smaller buds were peeling off of their stems and taking a small strand along with them, leading me to believe that they were at the very worst too wet to cure, however these hygrometers are definitely suggesting otherwise. Next dry I will have to take them down sooner.

The larger phenotype that grew the best yielded a whopping 5.7 oz of jar worthy buds and another 52.04g of popcorn nugs and trim to save for wash, that's over 7oz of material to use in some way from this plant, which is more than my entire harvest last run! The buds on this pheno had a nice frost, is covered in orange pistils, and are extremely dense, a true testimate to the Migro Aray!

The runt pheno, as I've come to call it, had much worse bud structure but wow is it covered in trichomes. I already harvested half of this plant and processed it into fresh frozen bubble hash, so I cannot accurately determine the total yield from this plant. I saved 26.40g of flower for jarring and another 81.29g of buds and trim to wash with my other material. Because of the poor bud structure, which I absolutely contribute primarily to genetics and my inexperience as a grower to keep the plant happy throughout it's life cycle, I elected to wash the majority of the plant. This plant also has many more seeds within its flowers, something that is much less of a problem in the other phenotype.

All totaled I have 185.83g (6.6oz) of jarred buds and 133.33g (4.76oz) of other buds and trim to save for washing plus 9oz of wet bud that was processed previously into bubble hash and yielded 6.6g of hash. Other than the plants developing seeds, this grow was extremely successful in terms of yield, and I know that I can continue to improve that final number. Next grow I will not be fresh freezing any of my product so that I can get an accurate assessment on my yield and g/umol.

I'm not one to be shy about cracking into my harvest once she's dry and ready. I'll leave my other jars to cure nicely over the next month, but I've already sampled the buds and wow am I impressed. These buds deliver a very comforting body high that seems to help alleviate my lower back pain, especially when i'm hunched over trimming all day lol. Despite having a nice body high, this strain won't make you feel sleepy or without motivation. I feel like I have some great energy and can focus on my tasks at hand.

Thanks for sticking along with me and for everyone's support in this grow. Follow me over to the NYGC where i'll be doing my first living soil organic grow with three different strains. Excited for what's to come!
