There should be about six nodes before the root system can handle a topping. It looks like you've been taking the bottom growth off. That may have given a great deal of stress to the small plant. Maybe give it some time to recover before topping.
Just a heads-up, she looks a bit wilted and maybe underfed? Take a look at your nutes, light intensity (too much light?), ph and EC and rh to make sure they're all in order.
Im sure my vpd is way off its hard to keep humidity up. very much appreciate the input. ill look into nute and maybe try turning my light down a bit. Not at the same time tho that way i know what helped.
Looking a bit better. Still seems like she still needs some time before you top. If you want to try bending her over instead of topping, that might work. I don't know how that would fit with the Atlas though.
Just an idea...do you think you might have too much humidity in there? Do you have an out-take fan going and adequate intake vents in your tent? Things look a bit wet. If humidity is too high, she won't feed at her roots as much and that could be causing some of the deficiency issues.
It's hard to say what she needs. I would go through my growing technique and make sure I'm doing everything right. Like what is your EC, Ph, RH, temps, how close are your lights? Are you giving the right combination of nutrients, in the right ratios? Go through the checklist and see if you can find anything that's off.
