SAFC Desserts: 420 Fast Buds Mimosa Cake
The ping-pong ball-sized buds grow mostly light-green with dark-green hues and sometimes exhibiting pink highlights that give the buds a hypnotizing appearance and reek of a sweet fruit cocktail with a strong earthy aroma. Thanks to the insane trichome production, it looks like there are trichomes growing on top of trichomes, making the buds look almost fluffy and giving them that sticky look every commercial grower seeks after.
Mimosa Cake Auto is a Sativa-dominant hybrid but thanks to the handpicked terpene profile, its strong Sativa high comes hand-in-hand with a nice Indica side, making it a strain suited for both day and nighttime use. When smoked too much, you may feel the cerebral high a lot more and can get you talking a lot and get the munchies, so watch out! But in moderation, you’ll feel a nice body high that calms the nerves and motivates you, leaving you in a relaxed mindstate with a laser-sharp focus.
This strain grows quite tall for an autoflower and develops a tall main cola that reaches up to 130cm, surrounded by multiple side branches that grow upwards in different heights, giving it a pine-like structure. You can expect a bushy plant with relatively small fan leaves and long branches that get completely enveloped in extremely dense buds and can yield up to 550gr/m2, a great autoflower for all types of growers who are looking for a top-of-the-line harvest without much maintenance or extra efforts.
Both beans pushed up and formed a nice tap root through the bottom of the Root Riot cube. I moved them to Solo cups after coating the cubes in Azoz (Solo cup prefilled with a mix of 70/30 presoaked coco/perlite mix). The cups went under the dome to keep humidity above 90% for a few days until they are ready to harden off.
Been slacking on my update, but I have potted up from the solo cups to their final home in the 3 gallon fabric pots with the hole dusted with both Azos and Mykos. The pots were pre fertigated to the current feeding EC and were put into the 4x8 tent to match temperature the night before.
These two girls are sticking to the "short and bushy" MO, but I don't mind. Every day I open the tent to these two, puts a smile on my face! I haven't grown too many autos, but these seem to be the happiest that I've grown so far. Pistils have started to show on one, but not the other yet. I'm going to go ahead and switch to early bloom nutes and hope the pistils will begin showing in the next day or two. EC is 1150 with a PH of 6.1. Temps have been 80F during the day and 73F during lights off. Still on a 20/4 light schedule and will remain there till harvest. Thanks for checking out the journal!
These two ladies are taking different directions, one is staying short and squatty, while the other has decided to keep growing. Still in mid flower, but bumped EC to 1300 with a PH of 6.2.
Been awhile since my last post and both girls are starting their home stretch. Shorty has massive buds on the main cola, accompanied by similar sized buds on the satellites. The beanstalk's buds are forming nicely after a brief period of her not being happy. Both plants are very sticky with a sweet odor.
