PTGC Misfit: strawberry cough grow
Wow. You are off to a great start already. Not sure how big your room is but vegging to 10/1 will make her a big girl.
I have never grown Strawberry Cough before. I look forward to growing with you.
8-22-20 10th day of veg. just topped both of them. raised the ph to 6.3 for calcium and magnesium uptake. it is going to be tough making it to sept 1st. we will see. using coco coir with 25 to 30% perlite. still fertigating once by hand in gallon pot, will transfer to 5 gallon pots when ready. ec 1000, 1200 with tap water ec added. 81 degrees f, a little hotter than i like. being from a sunny hot state, it will do. 4x2 grow tent, just put in the mars sp 250 2 days ago, there lovin it. long way to go though. 18/6 light schedule. here are some pics after topping this morning.
8-24-20. bent the main stem, didnt snap it. to expose the branches to more light. only removed one leaf from each plant. 8-25-20. 15th day of veg. the last 2 pictures are from the first day after tying down the main stem.next the first 2 are from this morning, 1 day after. 2x4 tent,so there is limited room,i start training early. i will be transplanting into 5 gallon pots tomorrow or the next day. happy growing all
8-30-20 . in the 3rd week of veg. just transplanted my 2 strawberry coughs into 5 gallon containers. ph. 6.0 ec 1300 1350 the ec of my tap water is around 250, i have to cut my tap water with 1/2 gallon of purified water for every gallon to get a ec of 250. so a ec 0f 1100 of nutes, including silicon and cal mag. terrible water for growing. uncut water has a ec of 513,crazy.lol.. might dial it down depending on the reaction. no yellow or burnt tips yet. i also tie down every branch. Lst. mars hydro sp 250, 18 inches from top of the plants. had a wonderful root system, forgot to take a picture. happing growing all.
9-6-20 in week 4 of veg, letting them grow up a couple inches probably start supercropping , will be cleaning up the bottom too. just taking a few leaves that were blocking the branches. looks like im going to use a trellis net,not sure. strawberry cough by ilgm is a very branchy plant. only topped once. running a ph. around 5.9 to 6.2 6.3. drift up and down. my e.c. is running around 1300 to 1400 minus 250 t0 270 e.c. from the tap. i cut my water in half with purified water. terrible growing water. tap water runs about e.c. 517 uncut. im pretty sure i will not make it to so end of sept to flip. will see,not looking that way.lol. i will finish my out my grow and post it anyway,if its cool. i have a question. you think i will be able to finish in these 5 gallon pots?? just wondering, before i lay a net down. i think it will be ok,just want more professional opinion. thanks, you all have a grateful day.
9-11-20 just put trellis net on 2 days ago, super cropped 2 days before that. these picture are from yesterday. oh i flipped to 12/12 yesterday, had no choice. does this mean im out of the contest? if so, should i still post my progress or not? this is my 1st trellis net,so its not perfect.lol. will be adding a second in time. next time,i am buying pre measured and one that stretches. that net was a pain in my you know what.lol. getting caught on my wheel chair and everything else. happy harvesting to all
if anyone has tips on the best ways to utilize the trellis net,as in putting it up or how high the second one should be. i just flipped to 12/12 will do some cleaning before second trellis net. please let me know. thanks. hope everyone is doing great on there grow. 👍
sorry it has been a while, had a few medical complications. anyway , this is day 14 from 12/12 flip.. flowering is slower than the master kush. there in stretch mode still, not as bad as i thought, but i dont think its done. im sure glad i only put 2 in there. im out of room horizontal wise. my e.c. run off is around anywhere from the mid to high 1100s to 1350. feeding with the same range as run off. ladies seem to look very healthy. i had an issue with a few hole in leaves that i never seen before.there was no necrosis or anything, i was hoping it was not bugs, it was not. ended up being young leaves damaged a little when training through the trellis net, also / 0r nutrient water dripped on leaves. but never had trouble before with nutrient water, but i used silica from gh armor si, never used it before,i noticed when the nutrient mixture that had silica in it touched the leaves,i would try and wipe it off.it left a slight smear discoloration , still not sure if it left tiny holes in the leaves or not,but it did leave a discoloration smear. watched with my own eyes.lol. but really like silica in moderation. not using it in flower, anyway, i added a second trellis net, basically to replace the first one.i not a fan of the nylon netting, just my opinion. to hard to work with and gets caught on everything.lol. bought a expandable net, so much easier. have one more if needed. one strawberry cough is slightly behind in flowering, even though not much to show yet compared to indica dom strain. going be a 10 week strain easy. unless they explode. never worked with this strain,so not to worried. dont have excess nitrogen. you all have a good one, thanks for all the support. have a grateful day. here are pictures from today. 9-24-20. will do leaf strip at day 21, using select defoliation for now, limited.
does anyone know if flowering is on track for this strain.?? it is day 14 of flip. strawberry cough by ilgm. i have not done a sativa dominant strain in forever.lol. usually do kush, they are way more developed by day 14 of flip. all input is welcome. thank you
9-30-20 into the 3rd week of flowering, not sure what day, lol.will have to look. they have filled the 4x2 tent across the board. canopy pretty much even.5 branches a inch above the rest. i do believe its almost done stretching. the one sc plant on the left is about 5 days behind in flower. its all good. there taking off now. here are some pics. its hard to get them in 1 picture, there just to wide. so i took a few pics. hope everyone is coming along . thanks and happy harvesting.soon anyway. 😎 sorry if i put double pics up. my pictures will not stay rotated for some reason. my apologies
starting week 5 of flower tomorrow i do believe. 10-10-20, things are looking okay, im a bit worried about some fan leaves that look like there phosphorus deficient. will put pics of leaves on a seperate post. other than that things are ok, my ec is jumping high . 1800 to 1870. my tap water is cut with purified water that has a very low ec. less than 20 if using a clean cup. so ,my water e.c. before nutes is 232. with nutes my ec is around 1450 to 1500. that is with the ec of the tap water . im starting to fertigate twice a day and hope fore the best. following my foxfarm 500 schedule, not the 750 not sure if that is correct, but i know that most foxfarm schedule go by the 700 or 750 schedule. way to much for plants. . here is a few pics. thanks all.
my pics wont rotate.lol. sorry about that
