Late start party cup/dead plant recovery project
First time post! First challenge!
ive been home growing for 23 years, both indoors and out, and am an avid food gardener as well.
this does not represent my “best work”, I’ll make a separate post later for my actual crops this year.
I was given 18 near dead gelato cuttings the other day, and figured I may as well see if there’s any hope for them.
to be clear, I’m not expecting much, but it might be fun to try to revive them, and attempt a party cup grow at the same time.
so, these were cuts that didn’t make the grade, forgotten about in a corner of a greenhouse, infested with thrips, near dead from drying out, and have already started flowering.
Im going to try to reveg them a little before October 1st.
i’ve given them a good soak and put them under a t5 light. Today I’ll pick up some party cups and transplant them with some fresh seaweed amended soil.
I’ll build a small custom grow cabinet for this grow using a spare 400w bulb, some old fans, and some scrap panda plastic.
wish me luck, I’m going to need it!
