This is just my method for transplanting. I use plastic pots for my first two pot sizes as it allows for a very easy transplant. But then use fabric for the final pot. Since i dont have to transplant after that.
First you take your transplant pot that you are moving your new girls to (or guys if you swing that way).
Fill it with just enough media for the new plant to sit perfectly.
Then you put your girl with her current pot in the new pot, like so.
Fill the sides with your media
Then take your plant out. It will leave a mold of the previous pot.
You then take your girl out of her old pot.
And then put her into the perfectly molded space, ahhhh i bet that feels cozy.
Then just fill the top in a little with more media to look pretty and then proceed with your daily fertigations to settle her in. And thats it, your done! No stress, no stunt. The plant will continue to grow as if it was in a larger pot to start with.
