NYGC The Misfits: My first indoor run
To my first indoor run & my very first "GROW CHALLANGE".I am using a 2.5x4.5 Lighthouse 2.0 Controlled Environment tent. I am using a AC Infinity 4" Inline Duct Fan with carbon filter as my exhaust. For germination & seedling stage I am using a Ultra Grow 2 foot T5 strip with 6,500k lamp & will be using Masr Hydro Sp3000 for veg & flower stages. In this run I am using Gorilla Glue Autos From Growers Choice Seeds & will be trying to grow organically. As I couldn't wait any longer to start I just went ahead and popped seeds into Fox Farm Oceanic Forest soil on 12/29/2020. Here they are 8 days later on 01/06/2021. I noticed the one to far right didn't have any signs of a seedling so inspected it and noticed seed was sitting on top of soil (guess i did a bad job of planting in the seed and the water most likely rose it out of the dirt) so I replanted.
Today I decided to see what’s been going in my soil and maybe that may help me finding why i feel growth isn’t all where i feel it should be @. In doing so,(by checking run off) i came to see my ppms sky rocketing past 1.5 ppt, so i began to realize where my problem is most likely coming from. I also saw that ph level was at 5.7!
I did a bit of digging and began to feel like i may of been having some cal mag issues. So I went ahead & added a tsp of General Organics CaMg+ (as instructed) to a (cvs distilled water) gal & ppm was inbetween 560 - 580 ppm. So then mixed 40% of that & 30% of distilled water & got ppm down to 410 - 430. Then mixed up to bout another 30% to gett ppm down to 310-315. Flushed away from there to get run off ppm to bout 1.1 ppt. Then was able to mix the other 40% (calmg+ mix) down to bout 280 ppm and again flushed away some more. Got run off ppm to bout 800 ppm & ph 6.08. Ppm still high & ph just under of where i want it to be. Heres a few pics of what shes lookin like after.
