NYGC 23
So here we are, new year and a new journal. Been a while since i did one of these, so finger crossed 😊Â
Seeds were dropped on the night of 31st, was hoping for 5 sprouts but only got 4. In addition, one of those 4 is displaying "retard traits", so we might drop some more seeds as we go.
Seeds in play are:
- 2x Fastbuds MimosaCake Auto
- 2x Dutch Passions BananaBlaze Auto

Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 2 (day8)
Â
Starting off in the C-room but aim to shut this room down as we transplant shortly and move to larger rooms.
Â
8 days of fertigation and the BananaBlaze girls on the left (when viewed from front) are currently sitting at 1400EC.
The healthy MimosaCake plant being far more sensitive to the EC climb currently sits at 1100EC, and the retard at 700.
-Hoping we can reach target EC without detriment this run #FuckYouCalMag
Â
We were supposed to grow the MimosaCake alongside @Rusty but we were unable to be ready when the ship left port ☹️
The upside is that we now have his journal to use on a week-to-week basis as target 😊Â
Lets see if our timelines matches his, Autos are wild animals and they tend be unpredictable..
Lets see 🥂Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 3
- 2 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 15
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
- BananaBlaze
This room will house all 4 plants for as long as possible.
We are up to full speed on our Veg regime: 1500EC.
Struggles regarding nutrient requirements, the Cakes handle far less than the Bananas.
The far left plant is Ntoxed and the far right plant has a proper Deff  🥀 🥀Â
Â
Still, we have achieved enough size to top the two Banana plants at day 14, which i believe is a record 👍Â
Currently pushing Umols past 500, any detriment will worsen as we scale upwards on parameters.
Â
Will the topped plants handle the HST we performed?
Will the Toxed plant be able to adapt and survive its coming topping?
Is the runt making a comeback?
Make or break, the coming week will likely show all.
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
Â
Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 4
- 3 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 22
Â
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
- BananaBlaze
Our best performing plant has good size for its age, the others are behind 👍 👎Â
A few sets of leaves on each plant fully necrosed during this week as we keep scaling umols 🥀Â
Â
If we have found the right balance between transpiration, lightintensity and nutrients, we should see good development this coming week 🌹 🌹Â
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
❤️ 🌻Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 5
- 4 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 29
Â
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
- BananaBlaze
The first month of this grow is complete, lets see where we are:
Â
The two ends are dominating on size, if the middle plants showed the same development we would be happy.Â
Still necrosing across the board, but hopefully it will have an end 🌹 🥀Â
Â
The toxing continues on the BananaBlaze, and the deff continues on the Mimosas. Temps currently lowered below the 80 mark, we expect this will slow overall cell movement and hopefully help the plants to recover.Â
One of the middle plants (a BananaBlaze) has just showed its first pistil, so we will be on Flower-count by next update.
Â
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
Â
Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 6
- 5 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 36
Â
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
- BananaBlaze
Flower count postponed another weekÂ
There are pistils on 3 plants by now (not the Mimosa far right), but the stretch has yet to start on any of them 🌻Â
Â
The two center plants seems slightly stunned in growth, but overall we are not doing terrible on timeline, sizewise
Â
The two Mimosa's (deff)
Â
The two Banana's (tox)
Â
We think we have a fair understanding of the situation, and we suspect it's furthered by our "new way" of managing the growspace to use less overall power
Purple line - CH5
Running exhaust on sensors instead of static cause a certain flux on parameters we have never had before, our 1-2 flux on F and RH is all of a sudden far higher. Not terrible, but not excellent 👍 👎Â
We expect good growth on the two larger plants, but how will the other progress 🧐 🧐Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
❤️ 🌻Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 7 - F1
- 6 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 43
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
- BananaBlaze
Flower count is started!
We have tossed out the worst performing plant and that leaves us with 1x Banana on the left and 2x Mimosa. Its been a week of sloppiness and mismanagement, in other words a great time 🥂 👍Â
We missed on a rez and screwed the NER, somewhat. Its hard labor to manually empty a 25gal rez, so nothing was done 🥀 😆Â
We also snapped 3 mains, which i believe is a week-by-week record, though we managed to tape one back on again 👍Â
Â
We are not sure how the BananaBlaze will handle loosing a main as it Flowers, though we will find out soon enough.
The middle plant appear to have a small size potential though it is possible that she will jump, somewhat.
The right side Mimosa is the only one showing good potential, and she will likely have to make up for the two others if this room is to yield close its target weight.
Â
We have sorta sabotaged ourselves to a degree this run, which adds to the mystery of outcome.
Normally we expect good size development first week of Flower, that might not be achievable this run
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
Â
Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 8 - F2
- 7 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 50
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
- BananaBlaze
Development seems largely halted on the Banana plant, likely due to the loss of a main previous week 👎Â
The center plant is making movement and the largest plant is now starting stretch 👍Â
Not terrible, not great
Lets see:
Â
The rez from last week mainly affected the largest plant. The high K values stripped away some leaves, though we still have a couple to go around 🌻 🌻Â
Â
The stunted Banana has some funky stuff going on, we will keep an extra eye on this bastard
Â
All in all, another week.
We have made adjustments and hope to pull some extra length on the middle plant this coming week, perhaps even the Banana will make an effort 🥂Â
We fear the sizepotential on the largest Mimosa plant and the logistic nightmare it might create, though she is guaranteed the main contributor on weight..
Â
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
Â
Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 9 - F3
- 8 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 57
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
- BananaBlaze
Banana plant still halted, middle plant still moving and we still fear the sizepotential of the largest plant.
In other words steady at current
Â
The Banana has good stacking and is most developed.
Â
Hoping stretch will be done by next update.
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
Â
Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 10 - F4
- 9 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 64
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
- BananaBlaze
The largest Mimosa is still stretching, hoping we are in the last days of it because logistics are suffering:
Â
The middle Banana is far along into Flower already:
Â
We will have to take some sorta measure on the uneven canopy. Should be in place by the next update 👍Â
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
Â
Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 11 - F5
- 10 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 71
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
The B-room:
- BananaBlaze
Seems stretch is done. Guess it was too little too late, sorta 👎Â
Â
The Mimosas have taken over this room and the stunted mini-banana's has been disconnected from autowater and tossed in another room.
Â
It's been a hassle. Now we drink 🥂Â
Â
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
Â
Â
From first fertigation we now count:
Week 12 - F6
- 11 full weeks since first fertigation
- Day 78
Â
The A-room:
- MimosaCake
Â
Ship is steady in this room. The largest plant suffers from low PH and runoff EC has seen unacceptable levels. Both issues have been addressed
Â
The B-room:
- BananaBlaze
Â
They get 3x and that seems to work. These small plants need far less and cause no troubles.
Â
Â
A timeline of 2more weeks looks realistic on this room
Â
Â
Â
Lets see where we are next week!
