It's about time I actually journal.
On Sunday 11/1 I threw my seeds in a glass of water. Five 3 Bears OG and Four Double Grape. Both from Mephisto Genetics. I am setting up a 2nd tent to host plant the 3BOG plants.
Both tents are 4x4 Gorilla Shorty. One has a 2ft extension and the other has two 9" extensions totaling 18".
Air: Both tents will have an AC infinity Fan, Carbon Filter, and silencer. One is 6" and the other 4".
Lights: One tent will have 2x Mars Hydro SP3000s, and the other an HLG 500v2 Rspec.
Meduim: I am growing in Nectar for the gods #4 soil,
Nutes: Nectar for the gods nutes. Hand mixed and fed.
They've been in solos for about week now and things were going great until today when I noticed significant drooping in about 1/2 the plants. I watered heavily for the first time yesterday, so I figure it's related.
Inspecting my solo cups I poked plenty of holes, but....none on the actual bottom of the cup 🤭 🤭
I grabbed a knife and stabbed holes in all the cups and an embarrassing amount of water came out. Lesson learned...
I'll update with pics when/if they recover.
I have a humidifer, dehumidifier and window AC if needed, but I severely hesitate to run the windows AC in this weather for security reasons.
I am almost certain that once I have lights running in both tents I will need to actively cool the room the tents are in, or devise a way to vent outside without damaging the house too much.
Drooping has gotten a little better on most of the affected plants, but there are still 2-3 real sad looking ones.
Since I believe the issue is my overwatering, I'm just letting them do their things until I see an improvement or the soil gets dry.
I'll probably feed/water Sunday night or Monday morning.
Drooping continues, but new leaf growth is looking good enough.
I decided to apply a liquid kelp extract foliar spray, Poseidonzyme. I mixed 5ml into 160z of water and applied about 1/3rd of the bottle evenly across all 9 plants, making sure to get the under sides of the leaf heavily.
Soil looks moist still so I'm just leaving well enough alone and waiting for improvement.
Pics to come.

Two week later and I've transplanted directly into 5 gallon pots. I decided to go straight into the final containers since my Solo cup / seedling bag first experience was a let down and these young plants are not quite as big as they should be. I don't want to lose any more time with these seeds as I feel like they're ticking time bombs the way autos are.
Otherwise mostly healthy looking.
I'm beginning to wonder if these 9 will outgrow this tent as planned, or if I should start more seeds so I don't have a tent lying empty.
These have started flowering after not getting much bigger. This is a borederline disaster. They're in way too much soil for the size they'll be.
Next time I do autos, If I screw up the beginning this badly I will just restart new seeds. Lesson learned.
Well, the 9 ladies are coming along and finally outgrowing the ugliness they acquired a few weeks ago.
I am defoliating this round to get some hands on experience with the technique. Last round I left as much as possible and only trimmed when light was blocked or if a thick ball of leaves formed in the interior of the canopy. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.
My hands are still sticky from the defoliation earlier today, and the aroma is NEXT LEVEL.
I'm not sure if it's because i'm using soil and organics, or because I went with much more reputable genetics this round, but either way I'm in for a treat. They already smell stronger than my plants did last round, after 12 weeks of flowering.
I feel like i've finally found my groove in soil.
I'm watering every 2 days roughly 1/2 gal per plant with a heavy feed of NFTG.
Every 3rd watering I do water only, and then every 6th is an EZ Tea.
The plants are praying around the clock now, and what parts weren't damaged from a month ago have greened up quite nicely overall.
The buds are starting to look pretty fat, and they just threw out a fresh round of white pistils. I'm hoping this is the last hurrah of flower and they'll ripen up over the next two weeks.
The plants came down last night.
I did a quick dry on a fewnugget and it's in a joint right now.
The 3 bears OG is smooth and even has a bit of a terp taste already. No hay despite the quick dry.
The double grape is much harsher on the throat
