Going back in time.
plant started very fast and healthy, but I started to notice some important problems at week 5.
All new growth could not grow properly. The tips were getting grey an very thin before they could start to grow. In one day, it was ending looking like a burn tip. This started as soon as I received my Diamond Nectar. My runoff was very low too. at a given point, inflow was 1200 and runoff 600. For me, its a sign of underfeeding, no nute burns. My friend that grows in medical yields 1.5 pound per plant indoor and goes as high as 2000 ec in veg mode, 3000 ec in flower, full coco. I followed his advice. I cranked up the nutes.
I increased gradually my EC at 1800 ans stopped right away the diamond nectar.
Now the plant is fully healthy, and runoff is very close to inflow. So now, the question is: How can people grow healthy plants with massive yields with EC as low as 1200 in full veg an flower? It does not make any sense to me. Is this low EC only applies to small auto? I would really need an answer on this.
First pic is at the worst. August 11.
Second pic is now August 24th
So, we clearly see that cranking up the nutes at 1800 and removing Diamond Nectar was the way to go.
Starting to show pistils now. started to add 1/2 portion of Massive Bloom from Green planet this morning.
Using 1/2 dose of Canna boost accelerator since I flipped too.
2000 EC inflow, 1700 EC runoff. Low fertigation does not work for such a big plant.
Plant looks amazing. 1 plant fills pratically all space in the grow tent. I am amazed by the results.
38 inches wide 27 inches high. Perfect size for my small 39x39x72 tent.
Lots of pinching and a bit of LST after flip to even canopy.
Look at the girth of the trunk for such a young plant.
Thank you DR Coco for your website.
Ok, now I think I now why I burned my tips with EC as low as 1400. The GH Micro bottle was getting empty 1 month ago, so I transfered it in a glass to ease the manip. This created evaporation. At the end, the nute was getting very thick.
I noticed it when I opened the new bottle of micro. EC passed from 1400 to 800 with same nutes amount !!!
So, I was slowly killing my plant for being lazy. And this explains why I had to keep the nutes so low. I am used to run at 2800 EC, and never had any nute burns.
So now, I am craning up the nutes progressively.
New recipe per 2 gallons
Canna Boost: 9
Total EC: 1900
Even though we dont recommand to trim leaves on top i don't care. I had to do it to let light go through the entire colas. Only top is rippeming and middle portion stays green. There js nothing to it than to do
Buds ripe way too fast. Lost at least 2 weeks of growth. I don't know why exaclty. Too much heat? ( 27 c at top of canopy ) Too much light? Dont think with a weak tsw2000. Can i blame too much nitrogen on first 3 weeks of bloom? OR the fact that the plant jad sick new growth. I can blame vermiculite for this.
Next grow will be all CANNA nutes. The one and only. And 100% coco as recommanded by CANNA expert.
