Not a first time grower but this is my first attempt at coco.
Started almost a month ago with the apical cutting of one of my soil grown plants. It was large out of the aeroponic cloner and mistakenly that made me believe I should start at a higher EC to begin. 1000 it was. I think she took longer than average to get going. Through trial and error with a few other issues I managed to get her comfortable and adjusted. Happy with the results and excited for the future.
cheers
4 days later she had her second topping and a bit of training. Also finally started adjusting to her environment and all the stress in the beginning with too high Starting EC.
I ended up taking the wrong approach to my transplant strategy and I probably hindered her in the beginning. Thinking because she was large to begin with, it would take her no time to colonize a one gallon pot. Being new to coco I was overly cautious on waiting to transplant. After 12 days I transplanted to a 2 gal. and probably could have been done it at day 8. Anyways she was doing good. I was happy with the results. I let her colonize the 2 gal and switched her to a 7 gal Pot today. She’s happy and ready for her manifold.
Also wanted to say that I am following every thing that I’ve furiously read over the past few months preparing to start the process of growing with coco. I’m trying my best to follow all the information and using all recommended nutrients from here. This website is an incredible resource and to see a community dedicated to sharing information and helping each other, it’s just wonderful to see in these strange times. I’m excited to hopefully contribute to something awesome. I’ll try to post as much as I can but the garden is busy.
cheers.
Lights almost off on the first day of flip. After 31 days of veg, she’s happy and ready for flowers. Excited to watch her stretch!
I’ll update as much as I can.
cheers!
She’s been under 12/12 for nine days now. After seeing pistils late on the end of day two, the first week of flower is in the books. She’s already stretched quite a bit. Excited for her to fill out.
cheers!
not much to report. She’s finishing off her stretch and will be going under HPS. Did a little supercropping and she really exploded from it. Excited to watch her start showing off.
cheers
Been a while since I posted in here. Almost all month. The pictures aren’t as exciting under HPS, as I’m sure most of you know. A little update, she’s doing very well. She started her late bloom nutrients today and the bud sites have been packing it on all month. Smelling very sweet like berries as well. She’s a 9 week strain so just over half way there. Enjoying the process and the things I’ve learned on this plant have already been applied to my other run. Happy to have spring coming. Cheers!
Another week+ down. A few more days on her late bloom nutrients and then ripening. She’s looking very good. I did push her a little bit and ended up with some tip burn, unfortunately. Other than that, it’s been a smooth process through flower so far. Cheers!
i found taking a photo with the lights on and my flash at least gives an idea of how the buds are looking.
In the home stretch. Lights off on the end of week 8. She’ll be getting the chop in a little in a little over a week. Finishing up nicely.
the flash makes it shine but it’s not too far off from that when looking with your eyes. Impressed at how strong the branches are. Can’t wait for the finish. Cheers!
