First let me throw out there how excited I am to be growing with everyone this New Years Grow Challenge! It's going to be epic to watch everyone's progress! As the Fruit Salad group leader, I'm looking forward to seeing the diversity and progression of all the strains that will be grown here! 😃

This grow, I will be growing organically. I will be mixing together a compilation of organic ingredients that I will post in journal 😃
I do the 18-24 hour soaking method, then I transfer to moist paper towels. I do not use heating pads, as of now.
Okay I didn't have time to input my soil mixture but now I do!
Initially, my plants were in 40% happy frog and 60% HP CC (for aeration and better drainage)
My organic mixture for the pot up to 1 gallon is as follows:
Blood meal
Kelp meal
Bone meal
Bat gauno
Azomite
Langbenite
Dolomite lime
I also have terp teas to supplement along the way with liquid seaweed.
I was generous with all the ingredients except langbenite. It will be generously applied in my last pot up to 7 gallons. It is extremely high in potassium.
When i transplanted my seedlings to the 1 gallon, I coated my roots with Azos (beneficial bacteria).
In my last pot up going to coat my roots with Dynomyco (Myco).
First time growing organically. Certainly a challenge. Hopefully what Im doing, works 💪😁
My plants are growing but very slow. Im okay with that.....they are healthy and thats what matters. My humidity was low so added my humidifier for a rH boost. Its sitting at about 56%. Temps are perfect considering how cold it gets. 72-76°F.....heater cuts on at 72°F and shuts off at 76...
My assumption is, growth will pick up once roots are established better. Its been 28 days since drop in water....so theyre still trying to figure out life lol.
The top looks dry because I added more soil on top today....underneath is the watered soil. Both are great! Including my little Nemo who lost a Cotyledon. Was scared she wasnt gonna grow as fast, or at all. But she's good!
The serrated leaves are my fault! I burned them by leaving fertilizer on the leaf smh....but theyre good 👍
So, I found out why my Veg tent growth is so slow.....
I usually check temps an rh when lights are ON.....but never when they go OFF. Which is backwards thinking sort of.
Lights on....temps/RH is perfect....
Finally looked at my govee readings for the past two weeks.....sighhh.....when lights go off my temps reached a low 60°F most days......some days 58°F......what a shame.......its been like this for a month!
Problem fixed...had to make a few adjustments to the tent. Cranked up heater and slow exhaust out of tent down. I also daisy chained my flower tent to my veg.....its working perfectly. My veg tent now sits at 79°F when lights are off....the adjustments were just made TODAY. HOPING TO SEE MASSIVE GROW SOON!
Here's a pic of my plant from last update til today
Left: today/ Right: last update
Plants are picking up pace! So happy about that! Big thanks to my growmie @phosoup for the idea! Saved me money and TIME!
Plants are working on 6th node! Waiting on pH pen to arrive.....I wasnt planning on measuring my water this organic grow but I think I should. My leaves are showing some pH issues.....or it could of been my environment 🙃 either way....Im getting both under control!
Sighhhhh I forgot Im operating my light at 50% and height 2.5ft away 😑 which could also be contributing to slow growth.....cranked it up to 100%....will dial back to 80% if I see curvature in leaves....
Gotta get it together quick! 🙄
I topped my plants.....I topped R.M to the 4th node.
Transplanting into 7 gallons in the next few days 😇
Its sooo refreshing seeing symmetry 😊....gonna train them when the time is right!
