NYGC Fruit Salad: Banana Bomb by Bomb Seeds
She's still growing and the buds are increasing in size but not allot. This is a new strain for me so I'm not sure how she's going to bulk up, or not. It's all a mystery and the grow goes on. The frost is thick on these ladies so I'm really hoping I can get a decent harvest from her.
Just another day in the grow for these ladies. She's taking all the nutes and light like the rest of the big girls. I've boosted ec to 1.5 by using 7g Shine and 19g Base per 5 gallons of water. She's still the frostiest gal in the tent and buds are growing. I guess we will she how she develops and what she brings at harvest. I haven't looked at trichomes yet as it's pretty cleat to see that she's not very close to being ready.
Looks like this lady is filling out a little. Still pretty small buds but they are growing so I've got hope for her. Still frosty as can be. I think the Heavy 16 growth and bloom additive that I'm using now will help her bulk up a bit. Other than size, this lady looks very happy and is growing well.
I harvested this gal's drain table mate last night so she's got a little more space to work with. This plant remains the frostiest one in my tent and the buds are looking pretty ripe. I'm just hoping to pull a bit more weight. I was so busy harvesting the GC auto last night that I forgot to check the trichomes on this lady. I'll be checking her tonight.
I checked trichomes last night and this gal is not quite done. Mostly clear and cloudy at this time so she will keep growing and fattening up. She's happy and doesn't have any problems. The top leaves are taking a bit of a beating from the fans but it keeps her well ventilated. Checking again tonight along with the rest of the crop in this tent.
My frosty lady is not ready yet. Not much happening here but playing the waiting game. There's really nothing I can do to make any difference at this point. She's just putting on weight and ripening for harvest. I'll be checking trichomes and calyx swell tonight. I'm quite anxious to see how this lady smokes. She's sure looking like she could pack a big punch.
At this stage, every post sounds about the same. Really, nothing going on but the waiting game. I checked trichomes last night and found that we have some amber trichomes but not much so I'll take this lady as long as she wants to go. I have a feeling she's going to be ready in the next few days and might be at the same time as the CC #2 pheno. I'm still hoping for increase in bud size.
After figuring out that the ladies I thought were autos in the veg tent are really photos, I have a greater need to get this lady and the #2 CC pheno harvested and out of the flower tent. I have to say that this lady is super close to harvest time anyway. I'll check trichomes again tonight but they were looking close last night with about 10% amber trichomes and good looking swelled calyxes.
I've been concentrating on harvesting my #2 pheno of Cotton Candy and this little gal has been sitting right there next to her, minding her own business. I think the Heavy 16 Prime (0-0-4) ripening additive that I've been adding is making a big difference in trichome production. I haven't grown this strain before but man is it covered in frost.
I believe this lady is about ready to come down. I'll do a check on her tonight when lights come on but she may be another casualty very soon....lol. Off with her head.
I checked out the trichomes at lights on. Got some amber but mostly milky. Calyxes are swelled but not really to maximum potential. I consulted with Bbudz and made the decision to take her down. White pistils are gone and with the trichs milky, it was time. The consideration was also partly influenced by the over vegged ladies sitting in the 5x5 waiting to go to flower.
I got about half of it wet trimmed and it was getting late, so I took off all of the fan leaves I could find on the remainder and chopped her off at the base and hung it to dry with the rest of the plant I had already wet trimmed. I'll finish the wet trim today and tomorrow if necessary. She's pretty heavy with leaves so not a quick plant to trim at all. I'm not really getting any banana aroma from her so I'll have to see what she smells like at cure.
I'll hang these ladies until dry, jar them up, and wait until RH stabilizes before taking final weight. Happy to have her down and the new ladies moved in.
