I am going to attempt a grow of Sour Stomper. I have a small 2.3x2.3x5.3 tent and currently finishing my first indoor auto grow. I am going to push myself by trying to lollipop instead of LST in hopes to maximize my yield recommended by Da Funks (check them out) they sell elite genetics like Rocbudinc and Night Owl. I will be using a supersoil mixture from Roots Organics Original. I've gotten lazy and just dumped 5lbs of Down to Earth 4-8-4 in a container with 3 cu. Ft of soil, 12lbs of worm castings, a cup of Oyster Shells, cup of Dolomite, cup of Rock Phosphate, 2 cups Greensand, a cup of Azomite, 3 cups Insect frass, 2 cups Kelp Meal, and 2 oz of Great White Mycorrhizae. Let it cook for 4 months. The ratios might be different than I remember, but I've gotten lazy. Use to love using SubCool's recipe. I know sounds ultra hot. I plan on just adding pure lemon juice to PH water and Sucranat for the microbes. I will be using 3 gallon air pruning pots by Honor The Plant (Core series). Using Maxisun MF2000 230 watts giving 43 watts/ft. Using my phone with Photone app to check PPFD. I look forward to growing alongside each one you great people and hopefully get a nug or two to smoke out of this attempt.
Happy 420 everyone! Starting germination of Sour Stomper. Simple water in cup soak the into Honor The Plant- Seed starter. Then transfer to her new home. Not to get ahead of myself. Today she bathes.
See you guys when she's ready for the next step.
The Sour Stomper popped her shell today. I filled her new home up with super soil on the bottom half of air pruning bag. Filled the rest with Roots Organics Original with 2 cups of Worm Castings to improve moisture retention. Added a bit of Insect Frass to deter any pests along with some Great White Mycorrhizae and a concentrated amount where she lays down to grow. Put her in just a half inch below the surface on a pillow of Great White and a humidity dome(cut water bottle). Until she pops and goes in the tent tomorrow after ny first plant cones out.
Sour Stomper finally made it into the tent. The light was raise so Sour Stomper can reach a grow to the light. Then lollipop there after.
Well I was quick to pul her, since she seemed weak and I have so many of her seeds. Maybe it really wasn't necessary, maybe subconsciously I wanted both of my plants to be closer in time together, lol. I have always been leary of a seed not shedding her shell, sign of a weak plant, I've heard placement of the seed has alot to do with it Either way a new lil gal just popped out of soil today. I hope to see her sis Platonic Frost do the same tomorrow!
First week since sprouting. Added mustard seed meal topdress for gnats. Top barley straw mulch layer. Added micronutrients and Mycorrhizae.
Unfortunately Sour Stomper started exhibiting major leaf mutations, so I pulled her. Some new genetics received Daytona 5000 - NIGHT OWL, and I want to try new genetics. I will discontinuing Sour Stomper. I think it's definitely to late to count this in the contest. Thankfully I have one plant left to hopefully go the distance. I will be posting Daytona 5000 in Sour Stompers place. If not allowed please lmk.
I have made a mess of my journals. This Queens Banner one week in. I hope to finish this. My Plutonic Frost is going on schedule.
End of Week 3. Queens Banner is look short and small. Giving her a top dress and water only. Lollipopped two bud site and took off her lowest branches.
Week 4 Queens Banner has become the tallest plant in the tent. Lightly lollipoped her. Gave her a top dress and first bloom feeding.
