NYGC Desserts: Colorado cookies and Wedding cheesecake
I decided to top/manifold all of the girls I will do some side by side grows some other time when I don’t have anything else to do.
I removed the 1st & 2nd node growth tips left the 3rd node and topped just below the 4th. As per CCFC tutorial. I gave them a spray with clonex roots spray I need to learn how to do a lot more foliage feeding it sure greens them up and extra energy. Yesterday I top dressed with roots grow turp tea and watered in with RO no ph when I am not top dressing I water with tap but mine is 300ec and it builds up quickly the girls will have a new tent next week my new veg and auto 32” x 60” x 80” hopefully it’s not too big
The girls have all been topped for the manifold. Now I was in chat asking about the manifold and one person says that they use the 3rd and 4th node and remove the 1st and 2nd nodes on each branch. I used the 1st and 3rd node and removed the 2nd nodes as they aren’t even on the branch. I guess I will wait and see what works out for the best 🌱💚
The girls are doing good and they have recovered nicely. Now for LST I have started to do some and now I have to wait until the limbs grow out and then I can do the rest of the manifold. The girls have slowed their time clock probably due to transplant shock but now they are in their final pot so once I complete the manifold it’s grow baby grow. 🌱💚
I have topped all of the seedlings back to the third node and I have started the LST some of my girls have even node spacing but others are not in alignment if I remove the growth tips close to the center stalk the plant grows wide with waisted space in the center I am wondering if I leave all of the growth tips she will be very thick with colas and I will have to remove the lower leaves looks like I have some experimenting to do.
The manifold is growing out and they are almost ready for the second topping they are grown flat with more than 8 colas and I probably have some training to do. They haven’t started to flower yet so I am hoping for a little more veg growth . The girls got moved to the Veg-Auto tent and a now they have a lot more light and room I also have some photos in this tent and I hope they will grow enough to grow the mainline before I need to move them.GL 🌱💚
I didn’t get to the second topping before they started flowering big time I don’t believe that I should do the final topping at this point I would just be cutting off flowers. I believe I can use LST to achieve the same goal. The flowering 🌹 tops can be tied down to keep them level with the other tops I have my work cut out for me today. I haven’t Journal the nutes yet I am in soil and I mixed in the Rainbow grow nutes and some 4-4-4-. Apparently I got it a little too hot as I got some tip nute burn it the girls are past that and doing good. The next feeding will be the rainbow flowering mix top dressed along with the gnat treatment the picture is of the Colorado cookies but the wedding cheesecake is growing up the same. I see more differences between the same cultivar seeds than I see between the Colorado cookies and wedding cheesecake. 🌱💚
I treated all with Dr Zymes and mosquito bits that has the BT in them and I haven’t seen any root gnats sense. I had to put it in a pump up sprayer and get the drain holes and air holes in the air pot as well as the surface of the soil. I might have to repeat after the eggs hatch. Inspired of all this the girls are doing well I’ve started the LST and they are responding well I didn’t get the last topping done for the manifold but they are flowering and I don’t want to chop any off. Other than that not much is going on I have put nutes in the soil and I am top dressing with bloom nutes I am using the rainbow flower nutes and they have everything in them I hope. They have a little nute tip burn so I know I have enough in them 😉🌱💚
Well I haven’t kept up with the Journal but I did keep up with the LST and manifolds I used soils and top dressing Rainbow Mix Pro grow and bloom I don’t get the growth like I did with COCO and bottled nutes I also used microbe +🦠 and molasses so they are almost done another week or two and it’s chop day I will use flawless finish to rinse the soil and ripen the nuggets 😆
I was looking the girls over when I saw a section on the cola was dying. I took a closer look and found the gray mold. I cut it out and lowered the humidity % of the tent I still had it set for the veg of 80% and when the lights go off the RH ⬆️ I set it for 50% but I am thinking of harvest she looks ready I was hoping for some more frost but she is very sticky 🖐 so today’s harvest day for WCC3. I have another wedding Cheesecake and the leaves are tight and wet. Harvesting the two WCC plants will open up the 2x4 tent for the two other girls that are in the Veg tent with higher RH % they are my Colorado cookies are don’t have the tight spacing like WCC I don’t have a picture of the gray mold I got rid of it I will take one of the cola where I cut it out Grower 🌱Love💚🦠🍃
Live and learn I dropped the seeds for both strains at the same time but the harvest is not the same timing so I will count the harvest days but will continue with the Colorado cookies but the day count days are off it’s only 60 days of growth not 80 but the flowering days are right of 40 ish the harvest is upon us 🌱💚
The Wedding Cheesecake is harvested I got mold in the bud. The wedding Cheesecake grows so compact that I couldn’t keep the humidity down, plus I had forgotten about the humidity setting on the A/C infinity fans I had set it for Veg and didn’t lower it for flower it was set at 80% RH and I lowered it to 60% I tried to lower it to 50% but the fans couldn’t get there but I got it down to 60% and that will just have to do
I guess I didn’t complete my journal I thought I had I got about 100 grams from the Colorado cookies and about the same from the WCC I learned a lot about growing in soil and in regular pots. I think I know what to do to get higher yields but that’s another journal thanks for reading a long see you at the PTGC
