Week 2

So here we are, the first day of the second week!

Edit: I see the day count says "day 9", I must have posted past midnight US time

We currently seeing 1100EC and 300PAR.

We are propagating in the C room, and there is a wide array of Kelvin`s in use. Earlier we have mostly used a high Kelvin thru this phase (6500k).

We will compare this seedlingstage against previous ones, but as of today we are currently seeing the best "Week 2" development we have on record

Lets see where we are next week!

Week 3

Seedling-stage is graduated, and we are now in Veg 😊

Plants have been transplanted from their starting cups, and into their final 3gal pots!

They have now been topped and gets fertigated 6x

We are now at 1400EC and 450PAR

As we can see there is issues to be spotted 😣 

We missed our PH target by a full point when mixing nutes, and we missed our VPD by miles for almost an entire day.

These are rookie mistakes. We are disappointed and will strive to do better

Week 4

It has been a challenging week, and we have struggled!

Last week just as we had transplanted, we got into some trouble. We made adjustments, but behold: it got worse

I have spent a good amount of time trying to diagnose myself. I wont bother writing all my drunken speculations, but ive landed on a answer 🥂 

-Perhaps the simplest one, and the one that makes the most sense.

This last coco we just transplanted into has not got a proper buffer on it, it is stealing my Ca and I cannot win -yet.

We refuse to make any adjustments to our nutrient regime, cause we are doing nothing wrong. Foliar is being used and we are running a higher PH to accommodate Ca (though i am not sure that this will actually help)

Regardless: The plants will keep worsening until the new rootzone has been established. At this point the expansion into new cation exchange sites will slow rapidly, and we will be victorious 👍 -this SHOULD happen during this week

-either that, or my diagnose is wrong and they will keep worsening 👎 

We have now defoliated the worst necrosis, just because we think it looks nicer ❤️

Week 5

Dark Devils: Flower week 1

Following the schedule of our previous grow, all 3 rooms are now inhabited  

Unlike our previous grow however, we are already in Flower! 😱 

EDIT: This Flower came faster than expected, so we kinda missed on our last nutrient mix.

It hold more Nitrogen than we would prefer, and not enough PK. We could dilute with Ca water to help with the N, but this would further decrease our PK, so we are sticking to it 🥂 

As the rez empties we will change our NER on the macro`s, and the additive regime will also largely be replaced 👍 

The A-room:

We hope we have grown out of our issues by now, and finally starting to turn the page 😊

• The B-room:

One plant in this room is still in Veg, the other is not.

They have both been trained to try and fill this footprint with 2plants (4x3)

The fact that they switched to Flower so fast might very well be our downfall on that goal, in addition to our previus bubu ofcourse.

This plant have not grown at all, for over 4days now 😢 

She is a fraction of the size of her sisters 👎 

We fear her struggles was too much as she entered Flower, and that she might eventually die.

We have pulled out all the tricks we know, but she has not yet bounced back. As you can see she is not even connected to the autowater, but for now gets handwatered.

Not much to say... Week 2 Flower has started, lets see where we are

The A-room:

We are stretching, Not very excited about the development so far.

This plant is still looking poor. But she has grown a little bit in the past week. We are keeping her for the time being, and hope she will pack at least a few joints 🥂

Dark Devils: Flower week 4

We were away last week and didnt get to post "week 7".

Thats too bad, but atleast we are here now 😊 

The A-room:

2 weeks ago i said i wasnt impressed with the development. That is still the case 👎 

This kind of rapid Flowering genetics makes it very difficult to achieve the size im looking for. My previous bubu`s only adds to that. But we are looking healthy and the plants are now smelling very sweet, similar to the "Think Different" strain 😊 

The Ntox we so ignorantly manage to bring upon ourselves can still be seen in a few plants 😢 😢 

While others show no sign of it and are starting to look quite impressive for their young age 🥂 

The B-room:

This footprint has largely been filled, atleast the front half of it. This is beyond expectations and we are happy 😀

The overall structure and development on these plants appears very different from their sisters in the A-room.

These plants are growing in the exact same environment with identical lightintensity and nutrients. However, the overall Kelvin from these additional fixtures are much higher in this room. Does it make a difference..?

The C-room:

This plant has made a speedy recovery, especially in these last 7days!

We are very happy with her 😊 😊  

We never gave up our various health-enhancing foliars, and all of a sudden she just jumped 💣 ❤️ 

Her bud development is far behind the others, which is interesting since this is Autoflowers. She is currently taking some damage from a much higher PK content than she would prefer, but we will show no fear 😎 

These are busy times for us but i will try my best to keep my weekly appointment with this journal, it is mostly for my own sake. To have these journal for comparison, especially when i am growing a strain a second time, is very beneficial for me.

The plants are growing, i dont know.

The middle plant looks a few weeks out from harvest.

I wish i had two middle plants, but then who would be in the middle?

Dark Devils: Flower week 6

We have now started our Ripen-defoliation process 🥂 

The A-room:

• Dark Devils

We might go as early as next weekend and finish this room 😳 

If so, this will be our fastest grow to date!

10 full weeks from seed is very fast for us, last grow went almost twice that!

There is no doubt that these genetics will yield far less than the potential of this room.

Thats not 100% the genetics fault, but needless to say it is big task to grow big plants that only has 3weeks before they start to Flower. -But taking time into the equation, perhaps it will be worth it?

Very different appearance on these 3 plants. From trix-coated green to a (very) dark purple.

Smell is also different. The green plant smells like strong lemons, and the purple (and pink) ones smell like sweet fruit.

The B-room:

These plants are developing slower than their sisters in the A-room.

Less volume all around on these, but hopefully we will be able to run these for a few weeks longer 👍 

The C-room:

• Dark Devils

This plant is several weeks behind all the others in terms of development.

She is on a manual feed, and so will it be.

She has gained some size, and her stacking is not bad 😊 

We kinda depend on this plant in order to make this run half way decent in terms of weight.

No pressure little one -but you have to perform! 🥂 ❤️

Harvested!

So yes, roughly 10 weeks from first fertigation -6full weeks of Flower 🌼 

In terms of speed, we are very happy with this 😊 

We got some good colors, and the density is ok 🥂 

We still got one plant left, she will come down tomorrow.

The B-room:

These plants are still running.

We will see how long they will go, but in terms of logistics they have at least 2 more weeks before NYGC is getting close.

You cant see from this pic, but the plant in the back is 100% green in color. I will try and get a pic for next week.

It is a variable in the genetics, and there are several other differences than just color. -But will sum up on that when this journal is coming to an end.

The plants in this room are so far the most dense.

The C-room:

Still far behind on development, she is now entering "Full Flower".

She is a bit angry at the PK dosages she have had up until this point, but she will now learn to love them ❤️

I wanted to make an observation of sorts here.

Though i have never published an altered picture, there can still be big differences in appearance simply by the distance from which you take the picture -this becomes even more apparent in night pictures.

I filled a jar with trimmed buds and took a picture in my lap:

Then i pointed the camera to the floor, where my bucket of trim sits. -This is trim from the buds i just jarred, and the color is identical:

Non of these pictures are altered in any way, except the light exposure gets lowered to balance out the blitz.

So what pic is "real"? What is the actual color of these buds, and this trim?

I would say it is not as red as the trim pic looks, and its not as blue as the bud pic looks.

-Taking pictures of "normal" colored buds, i have never seen a difference big enough to mention, but i though this episode was kinda interesting.
