SAFC Photoperiods: SOG - Clone Run
Hello folks and welcome to the Spring Group Grow.
My plan for this grow is a 25 plant SOG. I will be doing several strains so I will likely have a staggared harvest. I plan on growing:
- Cherry Cookie x Golden Pineapple - Surfr Seeds
- Garlic Breath x Mimosa - KnockoutFarm
- Stardawg x Tangie - KnockoutFarm
I will be growing in Rockwool again and I plan on getting my auto-water going once the room is free. I can't imagine trying this many plants without it.
I have my mom plants in my veg tent and I will be taking cuttings on 4/21 with everyone else. I plan on letting the clones root for 14 days and then vegging for 10-14 days. I will post pictures over the next few days of the mom plants and the room once setup.
Here we go.....
I took 30-35 cuttings so that I can plant the best 25. Each cutting is about 6-8in tall and has 4-6 nodes.
I prepped the Rockwool cubes by soaking in PH 5.5 water for 10 minutes. I then shake some water out and pour a 350ec solution over the top. The solution has some silica, calmag and lighting start for my roots.
I then made a foiler spray with the same nutrients at about a 400ec.
Nothing really new to report... Clones are still in humidity dome... They are all doing well... I am just waiting for them to root so I can put into veg.
I am doing a foiler spray daily with silica, cal mag and A/B nutes at an EC of 500.
Hopefully the next update will be me transferring them to their permanent home.
Well... We have roots already... Clones are all doing great and are about ready to be moved to their permanent home.
I have the room almost finished, the Rockwool blocks have been soaked in 5.5 PH water and have been placed in the flower room. I may do a solo cup test on all plant sites tomorrow to see how equal the water distribution is. I will then put on emitters to help dial it in.
Either way, I will have the clones in the room to start their 10-14 day veg by Friday.
Alright... Now the fun can begin. I have transplanted the babies.
I had to go from 25 plants to 24 as the manifolds were 8 ports each.
I did a foiler spray after transplant and I set the timer to water in 10 second increments.. I am going to delay starting it for a few days though as there is plenty water in the blocks already. I will likely flip these into flower May 10th - 14th.
Not too much to report except for the fact that I over watered the Rockwool Blocks playing with my auto-water system. Some light green and some curling downwards of leaves.
No worries though, the will recover fine. Currently I have my lights at 50% power and I am feeding at around 550ec.
- Floramax Hydro A & B
- Mendocino Armor Silica
- Lighting Start - Roots
Everything has been moving along without any major issues.
I am feeding at around 750ec and PH of 5.5 and I added some bloom nutes to help with the transition.
I think I will be flipping to flower tomorrow as they are about 12"+.
Man these things are stretching a lot. I didn't top any of them so hopefully the height doesn't become an issue. I cleaned up the lowers after I took the pictures as it looks like it will be a full canopy.
Currently feeding them Flormax A & B, PowerSI Bloom, CalMag and Crystalic from Nutrients. EC is around 1000 with PH at 5.5
Things are moving right along. We have bud sites on most of the plants and they should be popping heavy in the next 2 weeks.
Some of these ladies have stretched more than expected and I am not sure if it is the strain or if I didn't have my lights strong enough at the beginning. Either way they are filling out nicely now.
Been feeding between 1000-1100 EC with a PH of 5.5.
Well... It looks like I may have to supercrop these ladies... I am going to stop for some bamboo today. They look like they are still stretching.
I just supercropped my plants and I am nervous because I didn't have any stakes to help give them support. I'll watch closely and hope they recover!
I put in stakes last night to help support the branches. They already look like they are recovering.
