PTGC Mainlines: Runtz x F1 Durban x Gushers
Greetings! I’m going to be using a little clone from The folks over at Purple City Genetics. I originally started these feminized seeds back in May. The mother is being mainlined and in flower now. I really enjoyed trying this technique. The mother responded well (as well as can be expected for topping it in almost half ). I currently grow in a recirculating DWC setup. This is why I chose to grow in soil for this challenge. I’m super stoked about growing (physically and in knowledge) with all of y’all!! It will be the first time I’ve had anyone to discuss ideas and technique with.
I’ll be using the fox farms dirty dozen for this challenge. I use it in the DWC but it is my first time with this line in either water or soil. I like the results but have only used botanicare pro before.
The soil I’m using is just some fairly cheap miracle grow 😖 Honestly I just wanted to keep mother’s for cloning while still continuing to use the DWC setup
I will also be using a 400w light in conjunction with natural sun. I would stick with only the 400 but like I stated, my other girls are in flower right now. It ought to be fun and challenging moving them to and fro!
Thanks for having me. I look forward to our endeavors together!
Well, I haven’t posted much on Redwoodz cause she just wasn’t feeling me. We had a good time but I felt like our relationship wasn’t growing. I spent time with her. I layed out in the sun with her. I put her in the shade when she was hot... but she just didn’t flourish like a lady should. So I stepped back.
When I started my bonsai experiment I DID ignore her a bit. I thought she needed her space. But I NEVER gave up! In fact I went after it with all I had! I took her and I uprooted her out of that sluggish mess she was in. Yes, she needed space. She needed air! She needed her core, her roots to break free and breathe!!!
I know I can’t fix her. She’s not mine to fix. All I can do is put her in a place she’s comfortable. A place where she can find how to root her self back in. Although I placed her in a shillings but large area, I’m happy to say she is going well! It’s a slow process but I can see the light in her again!
She had some baggage down below that we took off together. This will allow her top crowns to reach up to new heights and feed her with all she needs. The light from above!
As she grows we’ll talk about training her shoots or about finding a new place for her, if she feels that she would like a new place.
Until then, care for others but know when we are out of control. 💨✊🕉
Wow! It’s been some time since I’ve posted about her. Like I last said, I had to back off and allow her to breathe. Redwoodz is looking great! She’s petite. We talked about topping but the conversation didn’t flow. We agreed letting her two tops grow would be best. We will most likely tie her back and let the inner branches grow out into a small manifold. I’m happy we are where we are. We might not have the weight others will have. But we did have wait. Lots of wait. Now matter what she grows into... she grows. 🌿❤️💛💚🌿
Red is coming along nicely. We talked about it some more and agreed to top her for 4 mains. It’s close as far as flip time but it was now or never. Haven’t been feedi g much. This soil is a mix of this and that so I’m just watching them.
