Salutations friends,
Here we go. I am honored to have been selected for Predicative Breeding’s testing and excited to grow with all of you. I would still call myself a beginner grower as I’ve had more years of failing then I have of success, but I’m still here and still growing.
In the past I have grown in coco and have really enjoyed but my space is not equipped to run four plants in coco so soil here I come. I just finished a coco run so I decided to give the soil I plan on using a pre-run to measure its performance for the real run.
My plan is to start in Happy Frog under T5s and then pot up using SoHum to end in two gallon fabric pots. When they are old enough I’ll put them into my cabinet, which is about 20” x 35”, under a HLG qbElite96 and a RapidLED Chilled Logic Red Puck.
Knowing I’m not using a large enough container for the SoHum to make it the full run, I’ll amend with Bad Bunny and Recharge. If I really run into a problem I have Heavy 16 but I want to try and make the whole run without a bottle. I’ll be attempting my current run in the same manner to see when I need to amend, that’s the plan anyway.
Cheers.
Zoom zoom friends, this is going to be fun.
We are almost all set to go, I only need to finish wiring the QBElite 96 and we are ready to take off. Woohoo, this is going to be a good time.
Cheers.

Jiffy time!
I have inch plus tails on everybody so we dropped them into the jiffys. I’ll keep them on the shelf for a day for them to stand up and then into the baby chamber we chamber go.
Leaves are a popping. The babies stretched more then I anticipated on the heating pad while I was at work so I had to bury them earlier than I had originally planned. They were dropped into solos with Happy Frog and lightly watered with yucca and Recharge.
Woohoo!
Topped up my media and things are pushing out really nicely. Everyone is coming in pretty even so far, no one has pushed out ahead yet and taken the clear lead. We’ll see who pulls ahead....
Everything is cruising along nicely. Our first true leaves are spreading out and showing some definition. It’s cool seeing differences in lead structure, the deeper serrations on the New England Rock Candy and the smoother leaves of the Afghan Cherries. This may be my first time growing two different strains at exactly the same time instead of a few weeks apart. Hmm...I should do this more often.
Things are going great albeit a little slow, but I can’t complain. They are sitting on a seedling heating mat but my environment could be a little warmer and definitely higher humidity. I want to wait until they have four true leaves before putting them into the main grow chamber with the high power light, don’t want to burn the little ones.
Cheers growers. 💚🌱

Zoom zoom. We are a pushing, once this node is completely pushed out I’ll give one a test in the grow chamber. I want to make sure it’s not going to be too much, so I’ll pick the strongest one, place her in the chamber for five to six hours see how she handles it. I’ll put her off to the side, out from directly under the light. If she can take it, I’m expect her to take off in the 80 degree, 60% environment(lights on) and flourish. I can turn the intensity down a bit without it really affecting the other plants I have in the space. I’m enjoying watching the growing leaf structure difference and hope it stays consistent throughout the grow. 🌱
We are cooking now. I believe the roots are spreading out, taking up more nutrients and pushing growth forward. Tomorrow I’ll put one into the main grow chamber for a few hours in the middle of the day and see how she performs, if I don’t see any negatives I’ll put everyone in there.
Everybody is happy and together now, like one big happy family. I put one of the New England Rock Candies in the chamber for a few hours to make sure she was ready was the boost in intensity and she didn’t miss a beat. Today I rearranged the chamber to fit everybody in, I’ll roll with this until I up-pot the Afghan Cherries and New England Rock Candy or the Wedding Singers begin to overshadow them. Whichever comes first. Here we go friends. 🌱💚
Damn what a difference a day makes!!!!!! And proper temperature, humidity, stronger and better light intensity. Haha I clearly should have put the little ones in the main chamber far sooner, I’ll just veg them a little longer. Everyone is looking bright green, standing vertical, pushing out leaves and new growth. Things are looking strong so let’s keep it going.
Cheer friends.
