NYGC Clone: DREVS NYGC CLONE Journal
Runt the Random Bag seed Clone, Mother was planted January 2019, you can see the raising and flowering of the original plant in this journal here my very first grow ever! https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/community/completed-grow-journals/grow-01-unknown-strain/ The current mother is 3rd generation. I have raised many of this plant over the last year. She is extremely good smoke very sticky very indica. She has a tendency to produce Bananas around week 6 flower so I usually have a few seeds in the finished product.
I am running Organic soil I mixed up back in November. Here is the recipe I use, https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/community/the-soil-section/my-recipe-mixing-up-my-soil-for-the-nygc-today/
I will use water from my local grocery store RO water machine to the water I add, Organic Liquid Silica Boost made by Bloom City, and Organic Super MicrobeRoot Stimulator also made by Bloom City. Every other watering I make teas with Roots Organic Terp Tea Bloom, molasses and SeaWeed extract along with everything I listed above.
I water with a pump sprayer which I find helps me evenly wet the soil and I find it mentally relaxing as well.
pics of My girl Runt she is my plant I have learned everything about growing with. I have seeds from her I plan to keep her around forever in one form or another. I have had her since day 1 of starting my journey with growing indoor marijuana she was one of my original 6 bag seed I planted. She was the last to germinate and slowest to grow. In flower tho she became a monster! Towering over the other 5. She was different than the others as well more hardy thickness and better genetics for sure. The best smoke outta all 6 as well so she was kept and I keep her going.
Hello! 4 of my clones were ready for pot up to red party cups, they are under 3 double bulb 4ft T12 lights 5000K Cool white, they are in a mix of 50% Foxfarm Happyfrog soil and 50% Worm castings, I sprinkled the soil where they went in with Great White, I watered them with RO water and liquid seaweed. Temp 73f 60%RH
Tonight we face a snow and ice storm of epic proportions forecast calculated accumulation of ice up to 1 inch in some areas followed by snow my area. I have veg and a flower room and I have a plan if the power goes out. Part of that plan was a battery-powered light to run while I was at work and not able to run my gas generator. This battery-powered light is to be used on my plant in Flower while I am at work. I am gone for 7 hours of her lights on time. The last 5 hours will be under 1x T12 Fluorescent double bulb 4ft hood. I have read it does not take much light to keep the plant's internal clock going, so this is my plan for my flowering girl IF I lose power for a few days. The veg plants will veg under generator power and T12 fixtures, while I am home their lights are on. I do not run pumps or watering systems. I also am not going to ruin my expensive flowering lights under Generator power because I do not have a filter and do not want to damage the drivers. This is an EMERGENCY plan only hope I do not have to initiate it.
Here are some pics of the little project I did tonight, I built it from a bunch of stuff I had laying around in the basement and garage. They are 12v 3 foot Led Strips I soldered them together and used some parts from an old battery tender so I could rig it up to a car battery, Its kinda cool and hopefully keep the plant kinda happy.
water prep 12 hours before feeding
I bubble the mixture for 12 hours to allow the bacteria to multiply with the oxygen and the seaweed as a food source. Seaweed also contains many trace minerals. This will be applied when I return from work in the morning with my 1-gallon garden pump sprayer, for my lady in flower and to my vegging plants
More of the same today, Did some foliar spraying with RO and Liquid Seaweed the girls are showing positive growth after transplant into their cups they did stunt for a couple of days, but now 3 of 4 are starting to show roots through their drain holes in the cups. Planning on watering everyone tomorrow morning in the veg room and going to be pulling my last plant in the flower room tomorrow before she seeds out on me this will also give me a chance to shut down and clean, sterilize my flower room which has been in production since Sept. These clones should be looking good for the 2nd flip date of the 14th of Feb.
Today I watered everyone maintaining 50+ RH is a challenge right now but we’re doing alright very dry air here right now. 72F keeping everyone foliar sprayed with seaweed and RO water. Clones looking good right on track for the flip next month. I started adding Silica boost to my watering mix along with seaweed and micro biological root boosters.
Today I’m attempting 2 new skills manifolding and cloning in a peat pellet vs my bubble cloner. I topped one of my nygc clones and decided to attempt to clone the top. I mixed seaweed extract and RO water to moisten my pellet then took my cutting and applied clonex I then placed the pellet into a humidity dome. Heat mat set to 80F humidity is at 80RH, wish me luck! I topped her for a manifold I hope. Just experimenting having a ball!
