New member intro and grow journal start
Hello everyone I wanted to properly introduce myself and give my thanks to the many great growers on here who have contributed and continue to do so. So a bit about my grow. This is my first coco coir grow all others have been in dwc. I'm following the dr coco method strictly and after a bumpy start im off. I have 2 tents going.
Tent 1: 3x3x6. Flora X4s full spec LED 250w actual power dimmable. 4" inline with carbon scrubber
Tent 2: 3x4x6. 315w CMH. Have a 4200k eye hortilux, 3100k Phillips agromaster, and a GC 10k finishing bulb i want to try. 6"inline system.
Both tents have inkbird temp controllers and humidity, tower fans, co2 exhale 365 bags, both have humidifiers but haven't needed them yet. Growing in Mothers Earth coco coir 70/30. Using store brand smart pots. Using GH flora line same as guide.
Tent 1 has 4 autofem carmaliscious from msnl and Tent 2 has 5 autofem white widows from ilgm. Not sure yet but will probably just do light lst.
Now my screw up...I forgot that coco holds no nutrients so my widows didn't get fed for first 4 days after having there rapid rooters sitting in water in the tray/dome
Current: Temps steady 80f, humidity 70% +/- 15%, both getting fed once per day after wake up(lights on) 20/4 light sched, widow is 12 days old from germ and carmaliscious is 6 days old from germ. Widow getting nutes at 600EC veg formula bringing it up 70ec per day (started late). Carm is st 480ec seedling formula no delay to start for them. First 2 pics are of the widow today and bottom 2 pics are right after putting them in coco to help dry the plugs. They seemed to pause for 3 days after I put them in there pots and didn't feed em
Heys guys time for an update. I moved all the widows to the cmh tent today on the self draining saucers. Looked good just didn't work as planned. Going to be scrapping them and buying a washer tray 34x32. Going to angle it slightly and stick a small water pump in it to drain runoff to 5 gal bucket. LED tent is prepped for when the carms and hulks are done in rooters. Fertigating once daily vege formula 600ec ph 6.2. Tomorrow going to be changing to twice daily fertigation same ec.
Now on to the pics:
Hello all. Not much to update.
Ec currently is at 700 early veg
formula. Started twice daily
fertigation. Have a little burn
on a couple leaves I would
appreciate any feedback on
possible causes. Doesn't seem to
be affecting new growth. Ph I've
been fluctuation between 5.9-6.2
humidity around 60-65% and temps
kept at 78
Fertigated twice 1st 1000ec ph 6.1. 2nd time 1045ec ph 5.85.
Also realized today my old meter is roughly off by about 200ec. Received my new Apera today after being without it for a week and after testing and retesting I ruled that I was feeding at about 200ec stronger. Hence why it seems I jumped 250+ec between yesterday and today
Quick update. Day 19. Fertigated twice 1st @3 1100ec ph 6.1. 2nd at midnight 1100ec ph 5.9. Noticed one plant has a bit of nutrient burn spots.. all 5 are same strain and batch. Other 4 seem to be loving current nutrient schedule but the biggest is the one with burns. Anyway going to hold at current level and monitor the big one carefully. Hoping she will normal out
Hey guys and gals back with a quick update. Fertigating twice a day with a steady 1100ec and ph ranging from 5.8-6.2. All out flow is withing 150 of in flow except on biggest plant were its always a bit lower for some reason. So biggest change is it seems like the girls are starting to enter flowering stage. Kinda shocked because its only Day 21 from seed popping up. I'd appreciate if anyone is able to confirm if indeed she is entering flower or not
Another update everyone its day 22. Girls seem to be growing great. Got them on a twice daily fertigation schedule at 3pm when they wake up and midnight before i got to bed. Getting a stable 1100ec late veg formula and will keep steady at current pace until flip. Some did have a few burn spots but I think its due to foliar feedings causing burn spots under hid lights.
So another update: my girls had beginning stages of nitrogen toxicity and tips turned really dark started to claw and were bout to burn on a few plus new growth was being affected so I fertigated on 7/17 with a 400ec strength to 70% runoff. Its now 7/19 and there getting twice daily fertigations of 1025ec with a ph range of 5.9-6.3. My auto watering system will be here in a few days.
Another update. Its day 34 and the ladies have officially flipped. I seen pistils 3 days ago as I was installing the automatic watering system. Also noticed I had a nitrogen toxicity combined with some heat stress. I jacked light all the way up and fertigated with 400ec solution to 70% runoff. Then raised nutes from 850ec to 1000ec over course of 4 fertigations. Started trans formula. Still noticing a little twisting tips on new growth so will be diluting it back down to about 850ec for a week or so until Bloom formula.
Hey everyone quick update. So I got my nutes under control and switched to early bloom formula. Fertigating 3 times a day at 1000ec ph 5.8-6.1. Supercropped back 2 biggest stalks to maintain canopy.
