Growing Zsweet Inzanity
Grow Review: Zsweet Inzanity by Ethos Genetics
This strain was grown under two 1000 watt HPS, long before my switch over to LED's. Other than the lights, nothing is changed- 5 gallon pots, Pro-Mix with added perlite, Botanicare nutrients and Cal/Mag, and reverse osmosis water. The room had 1 high power exhaust fan and numerous room fans for circulation. Temps were maintained around 78 degrees and humidity around 55%.
How Much Does Zsweet Inzanity Stretch?
This has a lot of sativa in it- Durban Poison, Rain Maker and GG #4 make up the bulk of the genetics. These will grow tall and lanky if you let them, so I topped them twice just to control the height. Even still, most grew to around 5 feet so the stretch was more than double and more like 3X. Still, it was manageable....... staking was still necessary.
Harvesting Zsweet Inzanity
The breeder recommends 70 days and I chopped them at that point. No clear or amber trichomes, but everything was cloudy with loads of resin (see the pic's)........they could have gone longer, but I wanted an up buzz with these.
Drying, Trimming and Curing Zsweet Inzanity
Cut and trimmed wet, hung for 6-7 days and then put in containers for curing over another 10 days or so. Packaged up when dried enough for a good burn. They were trimmed again right before being sealed up. Bag appeal is A+, uniform and perfect.
The Flavor and Smell of Zsweet Inzanity
The smell while growing is very strong, a 9/10 on the smell meter. It's a hard strain to describe, as there is a lot going on since so many strains were involved in making it. There were lots of pheno's too, each with a different smell and taste. Nothing fruity or berry like, more woody, skunky, spicy and incense like.
The Effects and Uses of Zsweet Inzanity
It definitely leans mostly to the sativa side, maybe 80/20. It's very strong and long lasting. Best used earlier in the day, but if you smoke late at night, it will keep you from sleeping. It's a mood enhancer with a positive vibe. You feel like moving, getting up and doing something. Definitely NOT couch like. Not racey but it's electric and hits the eyes and forehead hard.
My Overall Impressions of Zsweet Inzanity by Ethos Genetics
My 2nd favorite Ethos strain, after their Chem OG. It's discontinued now, but is available as an auto. It gets high marks in every category. A very impressive strain, considering how many strains are involved in it's heritage. Not the easiest strain to grow, but rewards you in so many ways. Check out the pic's, you'll see what I mean.
