How Much Does Northern Lights Hybrid THC/ CBD 1:1 Stretch?
Stretch wasn’t too bad. It say the plants increased in height about 75% so a 12 inch plant would become about a 20 inch plant. Mine were bigger than that but I’m trying to keep the match simple for explanation purposes.
Harvesting Northern Lights Hybrid THC/ CBD 1:1
Of the four plants I grew this one was done first. Huge colas required bamboos takes to hold them starting about week 4 of flower. I main-lined this plant and it paid off. I don’t weigh my grows but this was clearly the largest yield I have had from any plant yet. I harvested at about 20% amber trichomes.
Drying, Trimming and Curing Northern Lights Hybrid THC/ CBD 1:1
I dried in a old chest freezer with a temperature and a humidity controller keeping it at 60f at RH of 55%. I’ve since switched to a frost free fridge for this as it was little hard on the freezer. I did some loose wet trimming and light trimming once dry.
The Flavor and Smell of Northern Lights Hybrid THC/ CBD 1:1
Northern Lights is one of the cornerstones of cannabis breeding and a classic smoke. Known for it’s intense feelings of euphoria and couchlock is a night time strain. This is not that strain. However, the parent has contributed it stocky build, low odor, high yields, and ease of cultivation to this hybrid. The other parent is an unknown CBD strain.
The Effects and Uses of Northern Lights Hybrid THC/ CBD 1:1
This strain is not like it’s parents and that’s still ok. This is more of a hybrid whose high comes on slow and mellow. Want to take a huge bong hit go ahead but take two If you want to fall through the floor or asleep. A casual smoke will give a sense of well being and won’t make you sleepy. In fact casual use leads to sleeplessness or anxious dreaming for me. This strain is great for edibles though. I use an Ardent Nova to decarb at the CBD setting and the resulting decarb gives a great effect. I made coconut oil capsules, gummies, and caramels with hash made from this grow. The high is strong but you never feel out of control and when you wake up you feel great. One last thing. The terms on this are great but take time to develop in cure. 6 months out the jag smells like berries, blueberry, raspberry, strawberries and intense. There is some aromas that cover them up at harvest but as they age the stronger temps change or fade revealing an amazing aroma.
My Overall Impressions of Northern Lights Hybrid THC/ CBD 1:1 by Pyramid Seeds
Smoke wise it is pretty average. Good for sore muscles and and ok for day use. The high comes on mellow unless you double your usage. Ediblewise it is great medicine that makes incredible edibles. It’s high yield makes it good for hash too (which I did).
