Grow Review: Girl Scout Cookies: Extreme by I Love Growing Marijuana ILGM

Two major issues I had was having to chop early due to bud rot, and my cheap tent collapsing on my grow during flower thanks to the weight of the lights and, I'm guessing, negative pressure from the exhaust. My current grow has fixed these issues (hopefully, regarding the rot), by adding a dehumidifying A/C and upgrading to a Gorilla Grow Tent. The rest of my setup is as follows: Tent: Gorilla Grow 5x9 Lights: 2x Viparspectra P2500, 1x Spider Farmer SF4000 Nutrients: Green Planet Dual Fuel 2 part base nutrient GP Pro Cal GP Massive Bloom GP Rezin GP Plant Guard Pots: 5 Gal Fabric Medium: Professors Coco/Perlite pre-mixed, buffered myself with 24hr soak in Pro Cal

How Much Does Girl Scout Cookies: Extreme Stretch?

The plants grew to roughly double in size, and the stretch slowed down after two weeks and was all but done after the third week from flip.

Harvesting Girl Scout Cookies: Extreme

My only downfall with this strain was that from the 8 seeds I popped, there was roughly a 1.5 week variation in how quickly the plants matured. The fastest plant (Which I creatively named "number 2") had mostly translucent trichromes with some translucent amber and a couple still transparent after almost right on 8 weeks (ILGM advertises this strain as a 10 week flower). Unfortunately most of the other plants were still mostly transparent at this point, but after bud rot began taking over the tent I decided to harvest them all. (something is better than nothing)

Drying, Trimming and Curing Girl Scout Cookies: Extreme

I harvested alone over the course of two days. I switched the lights off at the start of their dark period (not that it would do anything at the time, just prevent them coming back on in the morning) and started my harvest the next morning, after about 14 hours of darkness. I harvested over 2 days, taking one branch from the tent at a time and trimming all the buds off onto a drying rack, and labelling each rack with what plants were on it. This was mostly as I was trying to determine which pheno to keep the clones from. After about 4 days on the drying rack the small sticks left on the buds broke before bending, and I admittedly don't use the best curing practices. My harvest goes into large 20gal plastic tubs with a few large bovida bags, and gets a mix and burp once a day. It's not as nice as jars, but as I look to harvest 4-6lb jars are very impractical.

The Flavor and Smell of Girl Scout Cookies: Extreme

A VERY "high" fruity smell. I'm not really the best one to describe flavour - it all tastes similar to me personally, but friends have all described it as fruity, much like the smell.

The Effects and Uses of Girl Scout Cookies: Extreme

Couch lock for me. While I'm not a heavy smoker, even friends who are said it was quite a heavy high, and they found it hard to function normally while high. One friend drove out to McDonald's, but kept forgetting where he was going and drove past it three times before going home, intending to order a pizza, which he ended up forgetting to do also.

My Overall Impressions of Girl Scout Cookies: Extreme by I Love Growing Marijuana ILGM

A fantastic and easy strain to grow, although I do believe it may be a young and slightly unstable strain as my 8 plants did have slightly different appearances. All 8 plants grew very large, heavy and dense buds with extremely dense trichromes. My favourite pheno, Number 2, had a few leaves growing bud sites at their centres, and showed a bit of purple right before harvest. I'm in a tropical climate so bud rot is always an issue, but with the heavy, dense buds this plant produces I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in a similar climate, it would be much better suited somewhere very dry.
