Grow Review: Chem OG by Ethos genetics
My room for this one was 12 X 14, and I had two 1000 watt HPS hanging above. 4 gallon pots of Pro-Mix, lime and perlite. Botanicare Pure Blend Pro and Cal/mag were used and a bloom booster in weeks 6-8. 24 plants in all, 4 rows of 6 plants.
How Much Does Chem OG Stretch?
They triple in height, some only doubled- just depended on the pheno. A couple of the plants, with the thickest cola's had to be staked, but no more than 20% of them. Finished height on most of them was around 4-4 1/2 ft.
Harvesting Chem OG
They took their time finishing, rarely do I have to go over 70 days, these went 73. No ccleartrichomes in the end, and around 5-10% amber- everything else was a nice and cloudy. I let these go to try and coax more weight out of them.
Drying, Trimming and Curing Chem OG
Trimmed wet, hung for 6 days and then cured in tupperware for 2 weeks.
The Flavor and Smell of Chem OG
One of the most stinky strains I've ever grown- it could be smelled out at the street, and I have a long driveway. The house had to be fumigated afterwards- the dog, cloths, furniture, drapes, carpets, EVERYTHING stunk for weeks after. The wife threatened to leave if i ever did this strain again? It's Chem X OG Kush, what else would you expect???
The Effects and Uses of Chem OG
A great, well round buzz that lasted a good long time. It had a nice 50/50 buzz, and none of the phenos leaned far to one side or the other. Perfect any time of day.
My Overall Impressions of Chem OG by Ethos genetics
WOW, maybe in the top 3 in over 100 strains I've grown over the years. A wonderful flavor that lingers on the tongue for a good long time. Effects came on quickly and lasted for hours and hours. An incredible stink when grown and smoked, air scubbers are absolutely necessary but they didn't help much in the end. Great bag appeal, it gets high marks in every category. A+++
