Grow Review: Blueberry Haze Afgan Indica by Unknown
I grew these blueberry haze in rich soil of which I combined ocean forest with peat moss, vermiculite, perlite, and some diotamacious earth (for gnats, white flies and other insects.) You will experience insects. Thats how I deal with them. That and sticky tape strips laid on the surface once the plants have developed from seedlings. I grew the in 5 gallon fabric pots in an indoor 4x4 tent. I started with 12 or 13 total and ended up with 6 females. Culled the males and took the healthiest male to a window in my garage to let the pollen sacks grow because I collect pollen to cross breed. It took that male two weeks to produce enough pollen to pollenate a lot of plants on.my following grow. I used a ROI growers-choice E420 led light purchased from growers house. Approximately $600 and did not purchase the controller as I did not want to spend another $300 but I can dim that light to 25%, 50%, 75% and full power manually with a knob. The light also has a leveling bubble which comes in handy. I had my light at about 18 inches above my cannibis canopy from start to finish. I ran this light 18/6. I used LST on 5 plants (topped and fimmed) but topped produced better and more bud sites than filming and one HST just to experiment. (Manifold). I vented my inline fan outside through a window which I had placed in a piece of 1 inch thick rigid insulation board cut to the height of the open window the about 12 inches wide (close window tightly against it, cut a 6 inch vent hole, placed my flexible vent duct into the hole and taped all areas where I could still see daylight poking through. Kept my fan/tent controller generally on about "4" and got a good negative pressure effect. Could barely hear it in the room. Put a stick inside window bottom frame so it couldn't be opened from the outside. I ran three 6 inch clip-on pole fans. One at the back bottom, one.mid height and one blowing over canopy (front). Ran my rou e420 led light at 50% throughout seedling stage about 9 inches above seedlings. 75% at vegetative stage about 18 inches above canopy.
How Much Does Blueberry Haze Afgan Indica Stretch?
These plants took about a week to start their stretch once I switched to 12/12. They were about 2 feet tall from the floor when I switched. I would say most doubled in size. I had a wierd one that started flowering way ahead of the others and that plant was who I named "little fatty" only stretched a bit but produced the fattest single cola out of the bunch. I had 6 foot total height in the tent so at the end my light was about 5 ft up with plenty of flex room if needed to go lower or higher. Kept my dimmer knob at 100% throughout the flower stage.
Harvesting Blueberry Haze Afgan Indica
Took longer than expected about 90 days once flowering. I checked daily once they started to get very mature with jewelers loop. Oddly enough, as usual, a few took longer than others. All from the same seeds. But generally about 90 days. I harvested once I had trichomes about 30% amber and the rest milky.
Drying, Trimming and Curing Blueberry Haze Afgan Indica
Wet trimmed this grow, kinda. Cut branches, took to trim bin, and removed pruned off the longer sugar leaves but left all others without disturbing the cola mass. Placed in closet (total darkness) for about 7 days with RH at 55% and temps at 70 degrees. Once the smaller branches broke when bending i harvested. Now I finished my trimming as needed. Spongy but not too damp. Felt dry to touch. Placed in dark mason jars and cured for at least two months opening daily and smelling the scent. A few jars came in a little wetter than others because they will smell like ammonia. If that occurs, empty into o open box and let sit for a day to dry further then back into jars. I use boveda humidity.packs to keep moisture in jars at 62% . Daily burping jars for 2 months. Smoothest smoke and tasty.
The Flavor and Smell of Blueberry Haze Afgan Indica
The flavor is smooth and smells of fruity scents. The color after drying and curing was a glistening golden brown with yellow tints.
The Effects and Uses of Blueberry Haze Afgan Indica
Energetic. I smoke small quantities at a time but often rather than smoking a whole joint, I take a hit, hold it and move on. Every couple hours. Been doing a lot of physical work in the yard cutting down overgrowth from summer rains. This has kept me energized. Once the initial high wears down its very nice and helps with any arm or shoulder pain from all the yard work, lopping, weed eating, etc. At night i.play fortnite video game ill take a huge hit and hold it. No throat hit or harshness. Smooth as can be. Expands to a cough if held long enough. Great high i.live blueberry haze afgan.
