Grow Review: Blackberry by Fast Buds
2x 100w (true pull) HLG full spectrum LEDs. Grown in coco with perlite, double buffed in cal mag (followed coco for cannabis tutorial to a T), and put in a plastic 3 gallon pot with extra holes drilled in. 20/4 lighting schedule. Fox farm trio nutes. Fertigated twice daily.
How Much Does Blackberry Stretch?
Grew to about 40 inches tall but was extremely branchy despite only being topped once. Grew more out than up. By day 65 or so it was done stretching.
Harvesting Blackberry
Took an extra 4 weeks for clear trichones to turn amber/purple. I used a scope attached to an iPhone 11 daily to check the trichs. Harvested at about 60% amber/purple.
Drying, Trimming and Curing Blackberry
Fully wet trim. Chopped the whole tree down, trimmed and then hung up individual branches on clotheshangers. Then threw all 160g+ into mason jars with 62% boveda packs for 2 months. Cured beautifully and turned into a beautiful deep purple color.
The Flavor and Smell of Blackberry
Smells earthy and sweet like blackberries. Very potent aroma.
The Effects and Uses of Blackberry
Relaxed, happy, hungry, and eventually, sleepy! Highly recommended for insomnia, lack of appetite, and anxiety. Even had a few friends who usually get uncomfortably anxious when they smoke say it felt great and not at all overwhelming.
My Overall Impressions of Blackberry by Fast Buds
This was my first grow and it survived a number of mistakes I made, so overall I’m a big fan. I’m definitely going to grow this strain again in the future. Plus the purple coloring is so strong that the bag appeal is fantastic.
