Soaked seeds for 24 hours, then planted on 4/20 into solo cups in 50/50 mix of commercial seed starter + homemade Coots mix. First time running CBD Shark and Ganja Farmer Kush. Planning to transplant 2 CBD Shark autos into a City Pickers SIPS container, and the Ganja Farmer Kush into 5 gallon grass roots pot on top of hydroton for butt-chugging. Very fond of bottom watering to prevent fungus gnats. First time trying SIPS container, will follow Jeremy Silva's method of packing corners, filling with soil and watering Earthbox. Made a big batch of Coots mix over the winter for this grow.

Just swapped out a Kind XL750 for the Mars Hydro FC-E4800 in my 4x4, appreciate CCFC's review analysis and discount.

Fingers crossed for the best laid plans ahead...

What happens to plants during first 23 days of growth when light gets set at 10% power (by accident!) and is >48" distance from canopy? Super long internode spacing, leggy, weak-ass growth. At day 23 turned up light to 50% power and moved canopy distance to 32", 3 days later set light to 60%, 6 days after that set light up to 75%. CBD Shark and Ganja Farmer Kush at day 35 looking weird with long main stem with sparse internodes and super tight stacking at the top. So sad! GFK is not a happy camper, leaves always droopy, wimpy growth.  CBD Shark has more potential. Both plants in pre-flower at day 36.

Sorry, tried to load photos of plants but response said 'error file type not allowed'.

First time using a SIPS container (City Pickers), top watered until plants got bigger, first bottom water was last week. Drop a dip-stick into watering tube to check level of water. Waiting till tube completely dries up to fill again, also finger testing soil moisture.

Love my new AC Infinity T6 exhaust fan that kicks on whenever temps get high (above 82 degrees), especially after the light got turned up to 75%. Downside is exhausting out air lowers humidity down to 40%, even with humidifier set to 60%. Have 3 different temp/humidity probes in the 4x4--always get 3 different readings swinging 2-5 degrees from each other. Use the IR gun for leaf temperature, that helps.

Currently at 67 days from sprout with CBD Shark and Ganja Farmer Kush autos, both in flower in a City Pickers SIPS. GFK from early on was stunted, leaves from the bottom and middle of plant developed yellow, rusty, droopy problems. Tempted to cut her out, but curious to smoke her flowers, which look healthy though sparse in yield--will this stressed-out plant give me a headache or deliver good medicine? CBD Shark is in the same SIPS and not showing those leaf problems, though there is one mid-high leaf with yellowing, but otherwise healthy, though she's got dense stacking of nodes in a crowded traffic jam. It's going to be a challenge getting light and air to those flowers cloistered so tightly with leaves.

Also in that tent is Creme de la Chem (Mephisto) in a 5-gallon grassroots pot being butt-chugged via hydroton in the tray with plain water. She's now at 54 days, looking beautiful and lush with big pom poms of flower pistils. Doing some leaf tucking, but otherwise no training. A few weeks ago she showed yellowing in her lower leaves, so last week top watered in some worm casting extract, then yesterday top watered in worm castings mixed with B.A.S. Craft Blend and kelp meal. Worried about feeding her so late in the grow. Soil is a Coots mix, went lighter on amendments than his recipe calls for after seeing nutrient burn/lock-outs in previous grows.

Running the Mars Hydro FC-E 4800 at 80% power, canopy at 22", 18/6 in 4x4. Reluctant to go to 100% power because increased heat kicks exhaust fan harder, lowering humidity to 40% or below. Current daytime temps at 80-83 degrees, humidity 42-45%. Lights off temp at 77 degrees, 55%. Also running 2 clip on fans and 1 oscillating fan 24/7. Love this new light and the AC Infinity exhaust fan with carbon filter. Worthy upgrades!

Any tips on how to attach files to upload photos (iPhone) to this forum without getting the 'error, file not allowed' response?
